I saw that reaction too, and thought the same as you. If I remember correctly, Elisa said JAR was a d******d. Here in Norway, he was riddiculed after his texting habbits was known (but then again, we norwegians can't really handle people who have become successful).

I must be mad to say this, or lost all memory (or more likely both), but I'm willing to give him one more season. No doubt, the lad has the ability to score some goals, and I'm seeing glimpses of him adapting to the league. Remember, he got most of last year ruined by his leg injury, so I see this season as his "first". OK, so he isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and he moans if passes are played different than he want to, but some of his moaning can be attributed to his will to win. I think he just might come good next season, and I rather he comes good for us than someone else.

I'm starting to get second thoughts about offloading Djibbs. He's shown glimses of adapting to the way of play as of lately. Maybe we should give him one more season to prove himself?

And get rid of S. Carson? He might leave, but that's not because he's not good enough, it will be because he is too good to be back-up. Sorry baron, pressed the wrong button. Should have answered Andy.

I think Souness has gotten far too much of the blame for our downfall. As someone mentioned, he did change things around and were probably ahead of his time at that moment. In hindsight, he could have eased new faces in at a lesser rate without getting rid of so many of the older players (ahhhh, hindsight is a beautiful thing, isn't it?). But a change looked imminent at that time. If I remember correctly, R. Moran was the first choice, but he turned the opportunity down. Don't think he wanted the preassure.

I've read the same thing. My educated guess is he ties in with Petter Stordalen who owns a chain of hotels. I've also read in the financial papers here today, that the two biggest shareholders is not best of friends. So, basically no new info there.

Yes, they would beat the cr*p out of each other to grab some limelight. By the way, just talked to a mate of mine about it. He told me the rumour had done the rounds for quite a while. He also thought there could be people with LOTS of money behind this consortium, people who shy away from the public light (aka the before mentioned John Fredriksen). If true, we will have a great backing.

They are clean, alright, except for the hunger of getting attention all the time. I'm 99 % shure this is just a media stunt to get some publicity.

Being norwegian, I'm pretty shure this is just a media stunt. Good business-men, but they looooooooooooooooooooooove the limelight so I wouldn't worry to much about this. The only norwegian businessman having enough money, and who would be good for the club, is the London-based John Fredriksen. He is one of GB's richest men, and has saved his favorite norwegian team more than once by ushering in some pocketmoney. Don't think he would be interested though (but what the h*ll do I know). If the norwegian consortium could involve him, then I would start to pay attention.
