I'm with HP taking the bookie's view on Atletico at home - over a 90 minute football game, we won 1-0, the score only so low because their world-class goalkeeper had an exceptional game even by his standards. We were brilliant - for 90 minutes, 100 even.
Also - It could be argued that we had even more expansive and explosive teams in the previous 2 seasons than this admittedly magnificent one we are apparently worrying about now, and Everton were certainly worse, and less well managed; yet those games ended 0-0 as well, and were pretty miserable affairs.
I'm getting edgy with waiting for it to be confirmed, and careful not to take anything for granted; but no, there is nothing particular about our form to suggest we may be about to put together the worst 8 game run (in terms of collecting points) in our history*.
Hodgson's Liverpool team - honest to god, Hodgson's team - could get us over the line from this point.
