  1. The problem with long shopping lists is that you forget the ONE fecking thing the wife asked you to get, that ONE thing being ANY of the 483 things on the fecking list. So out you go again, and knacker your car in the pot hole. f*** sake. Tyre is shredded. Call the garage for recovery. Of course there’s no signal. Up the road better there. f*** it. Hailstones now! Etc. No clue what this analogy means.
  2. Antonio? Conchita?
  3. As long as we qualify for the Champions League.
  4. Training again?

    Welcome VvD

I mean, Cockles is all right, but this is way over the top in my view.
  6. Why are WE bringing any negativity at all into the (collective) title win? It's been and will be f***ing brilliant. Why taint it with even minor bitterness toward any player, especially one who contributed to that title win, and let alone what he has done in the past? I get it, but it's our choice as individuals whether to engage in that or not. It wouldn't be for me, personally. On the day, I wouldn't cheer his name anywhere near as loudly as Bradley or Konate or Endo or Kelleher, any of them, but there's no way I'd scowl, either. That shiny thing that hasn't been lifted, live, in front of us for 35 years would not have happened without Trent. That's a fact. Once he's gone, then grand, you're like any opposing player who might play at Anfield, and you'll mean nothing. But not while he's here.
  7. Trent helped us win a League title this season. He should at the very least be supported for that. I wouldn't be giving him any stick at all if I was in the ground.
  8. Hang on. We WANT Real Madrid to get through now? Nah.
  9. Yeah, this is the thing. I’m not for calling a player ‘f***ing s***e’, definitely would never do it in the ground. He’s not the first and won’t be the last, but Nunez has been here 3 years and he’s proven over and over in that he’s just not at the consistent standard we need in this League. We’ve all loved his ‘moments’ Newcastle away last season, Brentford away this, and he’s had patches of form where he’s either scored or assisted in a few consecutive games. He’ll deserve his League title medal. But we have to he honest. We need more.
  10. I can imagine him going to any club, anywhere and not thinking of him ever again.
  11. He has four of them. That’s the problem

    Hillsborough

Thinking of that day today and all the victims. The 97, of course, but many many many more. Justice. All or nothing on the Hillsborough Law.
  13. Yes, NR. It was his receding hairline, I reckon. Looked 45 years old, was 27.
  14. Great post. Unless you read it in the voice of Joe Pasquale. Which I just did. Had far less impact.
  15. He may change when he has better players to select, but to date Slot seems to like to play with a #9 #9, not a Firmino type, as good as Bobby was. Our #9 this season has very often been with no other team mate within 20 yards. IF Slot wants to continue with this, then the #9 has to be better than any of our current 3 options at holding the ball up
  16. I wonder if Delap is an option? Young, cheap, knows the league, trained at City. Big, Quick, good touch. He’s nowhere near a nirvana, but would mean money could be spent elsewhere. Our problem at 9 is lack of pace AND Brains (Nunez), the ball sticking and bringing others into place AND pace (Jota) or physicality and positional sense (Diaz). Delap solves some of these. He doesn’t score enough, but then … he plays for Ipswich. Salah re-signing ‘might’ mean we don’t need a completely different type of 9. Just a better one. Dunno. Would prefer better, but there’s not many about.
  17. Thank God Boon hadn't just sold his car, so.
  18. No. Right, this has really pissed me off. I'm getting a permanent tattoo on my face, which states "We need to sign at least TWO CENTRE BACKS as a priority" Typeface suggestions welcome. Not you @Gethin
  19. If we both win, then Arsenal have to BEAT Palace to keep it alive. If they draw, they can't overhaul us on points, only on GD, which is unlikely. Most, yeah. But I knew, with certainty, that they'd both rest players v Brentford AND beat them comfortably. And who was right, eh?
  20. Gardeners back in the day must have been "For f*** Sake. Just go down the Focus and get three for two on the high peat stuff"
  21. He's been brilliant from day one. So impressed.
  22. The truthful answer is ‘it depends’. We have 200, but could easily get half a GB. But it took us 7 years negotiating with BT to get us above 35 or so. it depends on the area. My best bit of advice is to buy (or build) a house close enough to a road. We didn’t, hence the 7 years. Check if the road is a bus route too (ours was), as they are more likely to have more BT service points. Concussion of the foot
  23. It's our biggest match in over 300 years.
