Blimey - are you two still going? Finnan is a great defender - a bit short at times coming forward and occassionally suspect in the air - but a great player and certainly one of if not the best RB in the premiership. Kromkamp - if he gets on his game, could be just as good and may even offer more in attack and aerial prowess at the back - but that's a 'maybe'.

Sorry about the Klingon! But my wife and her lot are Dutch (originally from Voorburg near Den Haag - so it's a bit guttural and when they all get going I often think 'Today is a good day to die!' Kromkamp does offer more attacking options than Finnan, and is better in the air - that much I'm reasonably certain of - Dutch or Eredivisie-based defenders usually do well over here - Stam, Sami, van Buyten - only the aging Reiziger looked suspect. I think the lad will do well for us (fingers crossed). P.S. I was telling the truth about Mullert Klompen in Arnhem though! When I saw it I had this surreal image in my head of the first Airborned fighting it's way to the Bridge and Major John Frost and his boys stopping off at Mullert's on the way for some clogs as 'they'll look nice on the mantelpiece when we get 'ome - nice windmills and look - a little Dutch dairy maid in traditional dress...' etc...

Yep - argree with that - he'll need to do some serious training we would have to think - but then, Villareal are supposedly tough trainers to so just maybe he'll play sooner than we think.
