  1. This was Momo's first game of it's type and on abog of pitch - cut him slack.
  2. It has been discussed many times and during one such discussion it transpired on the offish the same day that Cissé was the quickest of any of them - even after his leg break - more than a second faster over 100m if I remeber correctly.

  5. Funny isn't it? I couldn't have been more than a few yards from you mate - the big blonde idiot singing 'Fields of Anfield Road' until he coughed a lung up in the cold Had a small flask of Espresso that I take to matchdays to avoid such a fate! Only just about worked yesterday though despite the thermals!
  6. From the heart - excellent.

After all these years it amazes me that people nvere learn that it ain't over until it's over. How many times have so many of us been at a game to see the old Kemlyn or thesedays Centenary mob funneling out when we've been losing to get an early bus or 'before the rush' only to miss great comebacks? Play to the feckin whistle - and support to the whistle too.
  9. Good point - and they've (Stevie and Rafa) already gone public about how they will cope with this if it becomes a problem. Let them get on with it.
  10. Y-a-a-a-a-a-a-r-r-r-r-a-a-a-a-a-h-h-h-h! (thwack!)
  11. I think he and Rafa have it covered. Some players are better than others at playing often and hard, and it seems Stevie is one of these - Beardsley was another, as was Terry MacDermott...right couple of enrgiser bunnies. I'm sure as was stated earlier in the season Rafa and Stevie are on top of it and they'll rest him when they feel he needs a rest - however, he is enjoying his football and where he's playing it thesedays - and that takes you a long way further than some might think.
  12. A bit OTT - but I know what you mean!
  13. Yes they did - as Did Marseilles and someone else but I can't remember who that was. Cissé made it clear though he had his heart set on us and that was it.
  14. I have no idea but believe that to be total crap.

No he doesn't - it's a London club i think, not sure which one - might be Spurs.
  21. I'd pretty much agree with that - though he's still better than the rest on the whole.
  22. They're waiting for him to bugger off like his brother.

  25. I'd say we were a lot smarter than the Chavs or Mancs as we don't pay ridsiculous money for crap or get pushed into doing so. If Rafa is happy to pay £10m or just under for Simao than I'm happy with that as he clearly has identified a job this player can do in his plan and scheme of things. There were plenty - though not by any means all - on here asking why we were paying more than that for Alonso, and why we were paying £6m+ for a Barca reserve and even later a new keeper. My portugese is still at the learner stage (some of my wife's family live in Brazil and are coming over so I'm learning asap) but I've traipsed through half a dozen or more variant articles this week after someone posted a deal might be on and the one theme that was common in said articles was that Simao wanted out this January, had told them so and and he wanted most especially to come to us - a couple of articles mentioned he was thoroughly pissed off at them for screwing it up so late last summer, and that he was a fan of Rafa's way of doing things.
