  1. Well, there is that too. But it's not just raw cash is it - but a strategy for growth etc.
  2. I think you'll find that was $ rather than £ too.
  3. NESV have a track record of quality sports ownership and winning, and would address the stdium issue - this guy has some manc bars and doesn't even mention the other stuff. I think they did OK. His remit was the best new owners - not necessarily the richest.
  4. Don't think so as they are in default - I think that boat has saild - besides - the man supposedly has $1.6bn - how much further can he afford to go? Notice there was no mention of a new or redeveloped stadium either.
  5. Broughton has said his duty is to the long term security and development of the club etc , not merely the highest bidder. As H&G are in default, the shareholders are outranked by the creditors. Shouldn't make any difference.
  6. If Broughton's is right about hisbterms of reference - finding the right buyer rather than just the most money - it shouldn't be a bad thing.
  7. Interesting
  8. I've been at home with the radio on today - 5L have been a bit behind, so hopefully you're right.
  9. Yeah - they poured money into the club - Ok, it wasn't their money, and they took it out as fast as it went in - but they luvved their Old Mavver...
  10. I thought they would have taken the best possible offer and saved themselves a world of financial pain before we got here, even if they only broke even. If this finishes the way it looks it will, they've not only been shown up as bad owners for us (and the Rangers etc) but incredibly incompetent in the management of thier own interests. Patterns in the sand, Cobs - patterns in the sand.
  11. I wondered when you'd show up
  12. Probably correct - but of course it may mean if RBS win, he doesn't need to.
  13. God I hope so! trying to keep track as this has unravelled on both sides of the Atlantic over the last two and a half years...not good fer me nerves, like!
  14. Very much so - the fact that they've spoken up at all let alone in such forthright terms makes me a lot more relaxed than I might otherwise have been.
  15. I agree in principle, but don't think RBS would say anything so clearly before tomorrow if it wasn't nailed down.
  16. I think Fat Tom's silence speaks volumes.
  17. That was what I thought (and hoped) the latest set of pronouncements amounted to. I shall of course await official confirmation before celebrating by going on a killing spree.
  18. I think they got the injunction because they were able to show the contracts mentioned stating they were no longer allowed to touch the board, and they say tomorrow is the continuation so it is all of the same pot.
  19. are you any good with a 7.62 Mauser with a calibrated nightscope or what? Clock's ticking...
  20. I think that's RBS's nice way of saying 'we've got those two c*nts bang to rights' - sharp move by them. That hopefully should make tomorrow alot simpler.
  21. lock and load...
  22. Right here is the meat on the bone...if we cast our minds back to MB coming in and declaring the sale of the club to be the objective etc, both he, the RBS spokesperson and BarCap all said the same few things - Broughton was an independent Chair of an independent board, and thet G&H although still owners, had stepped down from the executive decision making process ceded to Broughton (and Purslow for the day to day), and no longer ran the club and the board 'a willing seller willing buyer' as MB said. In there they must have made those undertakings, changing of AoA just to allow this to have any weight at all.
  23. ...and we're coming to find you, Tosh....
  24. Basically, yes - although has Broughton has made it clear - the AoA wer changed for the benefit not just of him as Chairman, but for the benefit of RBS and likely with their insistence. You'd have to think they're very confident.
  25. That's it exactly as I understand it as I posted just above - it's all about did they act within their remit.
