I can just about tolerate that. One home win against the first good if slightly understrength opposition since Arsenal does not even come close to getting him off the hook. Even then after yesterdays game, he said 'I never doubted my abilities, by confidence was never dented' STOP IT!!!

Seems it may have been taken out of context, with consequent cheques for m' learned friends according to some posters. Although we are 1000% in a better place for progress etc than we were a month ago, I doubt we're well padded enough for José's brand of doing things.

Always thought that was very, very hard on Jol - but then our situation is different, and Roy's propensity for putting both feet, arms, a*** and head in his mouth would preclude telling him such a thing in advance for me. Let's just hope it's days rather than weeks.

yes - I think you've called that right. Hodgson has certainly moved far more sharply toward the exit than previously just by this one appointment.. Using the same line of thinking, our next coach/manager will not be British - get ready for media (and some fans) faux outrage and meltdown.

Re Purslow - you're right, re Kenny - it's what Tomkins and Broadman have said in the past and you don't get it, all I'm saying is this is a structure Rafa is used to - our problem was we didn't have a structure, just in fighting between owners and board - whoever was in situ at the time.

You have to reasonably conclude though that part of that was because of the lack of focus control and the influence of Cecil - it seems Rafa wanted Kenny to do this kind of role but Cecil didn't.
