Football should adopt the ice hockey method. Assists to the two previous touches. A midfielder can split a defence open with a great pass. The recipient makes an easy pass over to the scorer for a tap in and he gets the assist, while the player who really created it gets nothing.

Which was my point. How short was the list? Exactly. I would have thought if the committee had a list that it would be at least 6 or 7 long for a particular position. Of course there may be 6 or 7 on it and they think Willian is better than the number three. It's just one day be fore the seaso starts and two weeks before the window shuts, we'd be moving down that list a lot quicker.
