I'd rather go for a minimum of 70,000 as I feel more people would come with the increased chances of getting tickets...right now, many just give up. If we have a debt free stadium and more money for players and success that we all hope for follows, then we'll need a bigger capacity. Will it happen? This far down the road, I doubt it.

Damn good point, that said, I live in Canada and not so easy. But I get your point and agree it's easier said than done, but I was more thinking of the club making a new issue, to raise new funds. It just strikes me as better than an unknown buying the heart and soul of the club. Anyway, I rest my case mi laud! :-) By the way I am Scouse born and bred and travel over twice a year for games, that pobably costs me £2,000 + per year. Used to have a seaon ticket in the Kemlyn Road and regret that I ever gave it up when I moved here...someone would have looked after it between my visits I'm sure!! :-)

You'd have to change the value by giving the other holders more [stock split] to bring the value down. If some don't have £3,000, like someone else said, he may have £1,000. The £ figure per share is arbitrary, it's how much you bring in and I just think there's enough people out there that would be interested....but obviously, none of them are on this forum!! :-)

Ridiculous? Why? You're saying we don't have a 100,000 World wide that couldn't/wouldn't ante up £3,000? Bear in mind there are many that would go in for more than that others less. I'm talking averages and that example brings in £300 Million, half that would pay £150 Million towards the stadium and leave you increased capacity with minimal debt. Come on everyone some opinions - would you buy in? Remember these are shares you can always sell. I'm not loaded nor hard up, but I'd willing go for £5/6,000, especially if it gave me a chance at tickets as a shareholder. And I'm not saying guaranteed tickets, just a chance. As for this idea of 20% of the fans worlwide shelling out 3000 pounds, its ridiculous. Have you looked at exchange rates and incomes around the world? Is this the same fans that expect a club to play £20 Million for one player!!?? And what the hell has the exchange rates got to do with it?
