Since you mentioned Moores and fan in the same sentence, tell me, who was negotiating at the time for DIC? Don't you think Moores would have known Al Ansari was a real fan, a fan that came to matches when he could even though he wasn't based here, a fan who was educated at Liverpool University? Ok, I give in to the Sheikh perhaps not being a true fan, even though he stated he was, but one of his sons is a staunch Liverpool fan. I cannot argue with what you say, it makes sense. But perhaps financial sense is not always what a mega entrepreneur is after. If you are a fan of that club and you love that club, why would you want to buy another? But most importantly, where the Sheikh is concerned, these 2 have put his nose out of joint a fair few times and I believe he wants to win everytime. So whilst buying Manchester United may appear commercially sensible, there is more to it than that.
