how reliable is this poster on RAWK then ? Have we really been sold to DIC or is it just more nonsense and rumour
-
Oi and parrys
-
I am really looking forward to it Cant wait First goal is vital, if they score first it could all go banjo
-
yes I do know that for a fact Do you know why I know that for a fact, here is why Moores sold the club to Gillette and Hicks. It really is that simple, HE chose gillete and hicks for an extra £500 a share Moores could not have sold the club for more, there was an offer on the table from DIC which he had agreed on, but gillete came in with his mate offering £500 a share more and he decided he wanted more time to 'consider the offer'. He went with a bloke (Hicks) who wasnt even on the scene untill the last couple of weeks, he sold our club to a man he knew hardly anything about and an ex-bankrupt with harldy a pot to p'ss in in real financial terms. Clueless to the very end he was, 1991 he took over Liverpool and it all started with souness who should of been sacked the day he sold that story to the sun, went through the co-owners debacle and ended with selling the club to this pair of f'ckin no marks. And he got £85 million for 17 years of f'ck ups that saw the club go from the champions to what they are now and sat on his ar;se while Utd ran away from us off the pitch. Moores - do me a favour eh. He is more responsbile for the state this f'ckin club is in than ANYONE

I was undecided yesterday But after reading fleet streets finest going for the jugular today I have made my mind up I want him to stay now F'ck them - there is a witchunt. The man has asked for more time, give him it and give him more money and judge him in two years when his contract is up. I think he deserves that on his champions league record alone, never mind the FA cup win and worthington cup final to. Everyone talks about gerrard and torres, for me reina, agger, carragher and mascerano are just as important. For the first time in years we actually have four or five world class players IMO. Yes, most of the rest are sh'te but give him some time and lets see how the likes of babbel progress and lets see what sort of right winger and second striker he can bring in if backed like he was last summer I am firmly, 100% behind him now, f'ck all this negativity it is dragging us all down. If I moan about rafa again this season mods f'ckin ban me for being a two faced t***. Come on you reeeeeeeeeeeeeds lets have inter tonight and start the fightback, Ive just booked tommorow off work and I fully expect to be toasting rafa's reds in some lap dancing bar bladdered at 1am

What is it it is blocked by work

I'd have kenny back, seriously I would.

Worst post ever - FACT You are either to young or have completely lost your memory. Allow me to remind you. There where two main trophies in football then, the league and FA cup. We where banned from Europe. Scored 617 goals in 307 games. Only lost 42. Won the league and FA cup in his first season Came secod in his second season His third season he built THAT team with houghton, mcmahon, whelan, barnes, beardsley and aldrige. 29 game unbeaten rub and the league title again and lost in the FA cup final 88-89 they won the FA cup and lost the league when arsenal did us 2-0 in the last game 89-90 Won the league AGAIN and got knocked out the semi final of the FA cup in that fr4eak 4-3 against palace He then left in februrat 1991 because he was cracking up after hillsborough with liverpool TOP of the league and still in the FA cup Six months later after having a break and sorting out his health he joined blackburn and took them into the premier league in his first season. He then tool blackburn to 4th, followed by 2nd before delivering the league title in his fourth season. How f'ckin DARE you question kenny dalglish's acheivements as a manager.

And that reserve keeper we have got Mother of god.....
-
Cant see another thread on this Thought it was a really bad subsition for the second game in a row to take babbel off. Can anyone explain why they took him off again, just like against chelsea when he was looking really dangerous On a positive note he is starting to look a player now isnt he. I think he has been our best player the last two games.
-
Do you know who was been sh'te this season Carragher Honestly, by his standards he has been f'ckin awful this season

The worse thing about this is benitez is such a likeable man Gave me one of the top three nights of my life that man did and I love the way he handles himself and the way he is with us, the fans It will be f'ckin horrible if this all ends the same way it did for houllier. F'ckin horrible. Tommorow is massive, I pray we dont get mullered and we pull something out the bag and beat Inter
-
I said he could never deliver the consistency required to win a premier league, which he cant. The season we finished with 82 points was over again in October due to f'ckin about the with the team etc and an awful start with 9 points out of the first 21.
-
I am comparing like for like The english premiership is every bit as competive if not more than La Liga. His record over here is even f'ckin worse than in spain. The stats back up what everyone is saying about benitez's methods, he can not deliver the consistency required to win a premier league title because he f'cks about with the team to much. He has never produced the level of consistent results required, never. F'ckin ell pip, do you remember how good valencia where when they played us off the park at anfield in europe. He couldnt even manage consistency with that amazing team, what hope has he got with some of the sh'te we have at anfield at the minute. Loads of changes to players and formations every week, both with Valencia and Liverpool. Unless Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd all lose 6 of 7 games and draw 8 or 9 a season he will not win a league over here
-
I have been thinking about rotation, tactics etc etc And I have come to the conclusion that our problems are a lot simpler We just have lots of not very good players. A few great ones and lots of average ones. The reason rotation is an issue is the players brought in are more often than not sh'te, isnt it. Thats the crux of the matter isnt it Reina, Agger, Mascerano, Torres are all good buys - babel looks like he is starting to be a good buy but gets dragged off or doesnt play every game. The rest are average arent they if the truth be told, especially the attacking players, torres apart he has had an absolute mare in buying attacking players, be it in midfield or attack. We have the foundations there of a really good team, something we did not have when houllier left us IMO. So whether he stays or goes and no matter how bad it looks this morning we are in a better position than we where four years ago but I think we will probably need someone else to take it on another level

In 2001-2002 Valencia lost FIVE and drew TWELVE games on the way to winning the league in Spain in 2003-2004 Valencia lost SEVEN and drew EIGHT games on the way to winning the league in Spain you would not have a prayer of winning a league in england with 75 and 77 points In 2002-2003 Valencia lost TWELVE and drew NINE games on the way to finishing 5th on 60 points That is his league record with Valencia. An average of nearly 10 draws and 8 defeats a season. His methods have NEVER EVER EVER delivered anything like the consistency required to win a premier league and they NEVER EVER will do unless he changes.

The whole club is rotten, never mind rafa The whole thing is an absolute f'ckin mess and needs sorting out. New owners, new manager and the f'ckin players that are letting us down at the moment when it matters gone. If ever a football club was in need of a fresh start then it is Liverpool now, david moores and rick parry you pair of f'ckin clueless clowns you have f'cked this club up and no matter how much you brief your mate bascombe in the notw trying to make yourselves look good you are the people responsible for this f'ckin mess Lets just hope to god they pull together and stabilise so we can get 4th and put up a display against Inter. If Inter score first the confidence could implode and we could get done 2 or 3 tommorow.
-
The yanks are getting blamed for everything They will spend millions on players and players wages but they wont let rafa hire a number 2..... B'ollocks
-
Problem is, carragher is currently having his worst season for years, dare I say it when agger and skirtel are fit he may be fighting for his place given recent form I would get dalglish back in me if they could not get mourhino, but I think DIC will get mourhino in the summer

The problem with rotating Liverpools squad is 1) We do not have the back up players of sufficient quality to enable us to seamlessly rotate our 5 or 6 top players 2) If you rotate so many players per game and change your system all the time you never get a fluid, attacking team with good movement. 3) The levels of consistency shown by our title 'rivals' dictates that you can not afford the points dropped due to resting torres or gerrard etc for a tough league game if you want to keep up. When rafa won the league with Valencia the amount of points he dropped would have not have won a league over here in any of the last 5 or 6 seasons. Torres away to Portsmouth was a glaring example of what I mean - it was madness 4) Cups are lotterys, you could go out in the first round of then all so resting players for league games in order to theoretically compete in three cups in the second half of the season is daft. The league was meant to be our priority and should be our priority untill we have the squad able to compete for league AND champions league. That means playing your best 11 for all 38 league games injury or sever loss of form permitting. 38 games ffs, are you telling me they cant play 38 games. Liverpool play with no cohesio and no fluidity because there are to many changes game after game after game. Maybe this did work in Spain it will NOT work in England, not with Chelsea, Arsenal and Utd as strong as they currently are. The other teams dont flit from 4-4-2 to 4-3-3 to 4-5-1 with strikers up front one week, out wide another, in the hole the next. They do not change their central midfield every week, their wingers and ful backs all the time and especially their centre backs. I bet you when agger, skirtel, carragher and hyppia are fit he will rotate them as well. Yes the other top teams do rotate a couple of players but they more often than not have a pattern of play and a system which incudes their best 7 or 8 players playing nearly every league game using the same system. Rafa's methods do not work, look at the league table for evidence of this, the only decent season we had was when where settled with momo and alonso in the middle and gerrard wide right and the same forwards more or less every game. The more players he gets the worse it gets. If actually wish he only had a squad of 16 or 18 players because we may then see a settled side and a couple of runs like we got in his second season

If we get knocked out on Tuesday Benitez should be sacked
Huyton_Red replied to a topic in Liverpool FC
There is no way the manager is going to lose his job untill the end of the season at least, regardless of what happens on tuesday, so it is folly to do anything but hope we finish 4th and do well in the champions league. I can see both sides of this argument and have sympathies with both They give houllier a season to long and it cost us dearly on the flip side he has given us a few genuine world class players in reina, agger, mascerano and torres. They are top, top draw and I think he would give us a couple more this summer if backed again in the transfer market My biggest fear is what he will do with them once he gets them, I dont think he will ever change this daft rotation thing and the more players they buy for him the more he will f'ck around with the team every week I would love to say he will win us the league, I actually think the strange thing is given a couple more summers backing he would give us the players to wint the league IMO however I dont think he would use them correctly, his methods will never work over here the consistentcy of the other teams is to high, you will always drop points due to changing to much I am still unsure what I want and would like to see what happens in May first. As other psoters have said this is a fully blown crisis now the club is a laughing stock both on and off the pitch and things need to change this summer Hopefully it will just be rafa's methods and he will learn what it takes to win a league over here and be backed in buying another couple of world class players. Dont think we should change manager this summer and definately dont think we should change now But with the circus our club has become anything is possible -
Evans did better in the league than both houllier and benitez and with far less resources as well I hasten to add and he started from a lower base than both of them as well, inhertiting a far weaker squad than both houllier and benitez and he never, ever came out of the top four as Liverpool manager either, something both benitez and houllier did Winning the champions league however can not be underestimated, it is an incredible acheivement. We have not only won it but we have also become one of the most respected and feared opponents in Eurpope again and that is down to benitez. Never underestimate the benefits of our european runs have on the club, not only financially but in terms of our standing in the game. Players want to play for Liverpool again, big players like torres
