You only need to look at the scoring records of players such as Stephane Guivarch, Cisse and Pauletta to see how easy it must be to score goals in the French league. I think I was even top scorer there one season.

He is frustrating as hell and needs to cut out the times he loses posession doing stupid things, but at the same time, he's scored 9 goals, tries to take people on and be creative, and for a player who hasn't started regularly this season and has been struggling for form, that's pretty good going. Wish he wouldn't surrender posession so easily, but his reading of the game is great - did it surprise anyone that he was the first to the rebound to score our goal? And if Crouch had got there, would anyone even have expected him to score?

Crouch is the sort of player who should in theory at least get better as time goes by. What he needs is an out and out intelligent goal scorer playing alongside him. i.e. someone who can read flick ons, and finish good moves off. Morientes just looks unbelievably off it. It's like he is constantly running in quicksand or in slow motion. He does sometimes contribute to good build up play, but we have midfielders and Crouch to do that. Other than one good season in the CL for Monaco, his scoring record over the last 4 years has been pretty dismal. Seeing Crouch and Morientes start up front together never inspires me with confidence. I had such high hopes for Cisse, and although he's been played out of position much of the time, he just doesn't seem to have the off the ball intelligence to be a starter. I guess the Auxerre team must have been build around him just as ours used to be built around Owen for him to have scored so many goals.

I'd say PPLive or PPstream are a better option. I've paid a few quid to a couple of these sites, and I don't mind doing it, but they are quite often forced to close down, so there is no guarantee you will get more than a few games for your money. For the amount that they're asking, I think a few games is reasonable enough - just don't expect 3 years to mean what it says on the tin...

We're actually currently 2 points better off than we were at the same stage of the 2001-2002 season, when we finished second. That season, we won 10, drew 1 and lost 1 of our last 12 games. A repeat would be nice!...

I'm pretty sure that Robben did the damage - at the time I thought it was a terrible tackle, but no foul was given, and the commentators didn't even mention it.

The way it was reported on the news today, is that Lua Lua was somehow prevented from finding out about the death of his son. Not quite sure how they would do this - but if it is true, it's absolutely disgusting.

Morientes did look off the pace in the first half but I thought he was pretty good in the second half - good movement, took up good positions, and set up the goal. Had a couple of half chances, but other misses - Garcia in particular were far worse.

So basically the FA have effectively sacked him (and will face a battle regarding financial pay off) because he's been caught revealing what is probably the truth about serious dodgy goings on within 3 prem clubs. I don't care about Ingurrln'd, but every time I think the FA can't be more inept, they manage to surprise me by stooping to new lows of stupidity. What this whole thing tells me is that the FA clearly knows about the dodgyness Sven talked about, but they don't have the balls to do anything about it because it would rock too many important boats.

Move was started by a Sunderland player rugby tackling a WBA player. Ball played to TLT who cut inside defender well and hit shot that was deflected past the keeper. Marwood seems to think the original shot was going wide, but he exists in a different reality from the rest of mankind, so I'm not too sure.
