  1. Even Betfair (which I think is a more accurate representation of probability) has us at just over 90% now.
  2. Felt like an Arsenal win would make it harder for us to win tomorrow because the pressure would be on us more. I think we can be more relaxed tomorrow. We have a terrible record at City, but with less pressure on us to win and City still being very vulnerable, you'd hope we take advantage. Either way, not many would have looked at those fixtures and thought Arsenal at home to West Ham was a game they were likely to lose points in. They looked every bit a team missing most of their attacking players, and that's not going to resolve any time soon.
  3. Been so conditioned to battling with City, that I have to remind myself that Arsenal are not City. This is much more like a 'traditional' title race, before those cheats (and the Chelsea before them were on the scene). With the injuries that Arsenal have, we really shouldn't be letting them have a sniff (like it would take a pretty bad bottle job by us, or something remarkable from them)... Defences win titles though, and theirs remains strong, while ours has been creaking a lot since the new year.
  4. After City, we have 11 league games left, and 7 are at home...
  5. He's seen Salah score so many goals (and even more in training) where Salah almost caresses the ball into the net. But Nunez is like an excitable puppy. He must feel far more sick than any of us do, and I feel bad for the s*** he's getting, but that doesn't detract from it just being an awful awful miss. Just hope it won't matter in the end. I think Heskey was the last striker we had who was as Jekyll and hyde as Nunez. He can score some super clinical goals - like against Newcastle last year, Brentford this year, but those are the outliers. You just never expect him to score like you do the great strikers we've had over the years.
  6. Yeah. Likely it's a combination of things - harder run of fixtures, teams working us out a bit more, Grav looking a bit more tired and not having same impact as earlier in the season... But it's making our games a hard watch. And we've lost the game management we had earlier in the season. Even after scoring first today, we just gave the initiative back to Villa, and hardly touched the ball.
  7. Ipswich at home is the only comfortable game we've had in the league this year. Not been so fun to watch... Can't understand why we've started shipping so many goals too. Some annoying echos of last season, but hopefully we learn from what happened then rather than repeat it...
  8. The miss was really bad, but it's how little he is even running around having come on as sub that is extra bad. And I still don't get how he missed that so badly. Ooft

  11. I know we press more than Everton, but if you look at all the duels in the game, and then come away with us having conceded 20 fouls, and Everton just 9, you know it's been a weird night. I think the push in the box on Konate was probably not enough to be a foul, but it was more of a foul than what looked like a no contact at all foul that gave them the free kick for their first goal. And this is how the entire game went.
  12. I visited Vancouver, Canada a few weeks ago, and it was fantastic. Got my escape route planned now too. Other than that, just busy with work and kids stuff, and trying to be more productive in allocation of remaining brain cells.
  13. Would be kinda awesome if he was though.
  14. Don't know if anyone is claiming he's just doing it to Liverpool. He's screwed Arsenal, Liverpool and Man U in recent seasons. And yet he never seems to screw City, and it's likely nothing at all to do with his middle east jaunts where he's paid by their owners to ref games...
  15. Annoying lack of game management from us, despite the terrible reffing. Should have been taking it to the corner and calming things down, wasting more time on throw ins etc.
  16. 20 fouls by us, 9 by them. Righty O. Salah towards the end, as he was taking them all on and driving towards their penalty area, clearly tripped, defender nowhere near the ball. No foul given. Their first goal came from free kick where their player dived and there was no contact. Was this way the whole game. Biggest surprise was that he (rightly) didn't send Bradley off when he could have done so.

  18. It's really weird if the main story becomes about him doing coke. It's not like he's a role model or anything, and being so open about his dislike for us and then the decisions he's made (or not made) against us is far more damning.

  22. I think the competition is tough, but Doku kicking McAllister in the chest was just as bad. Both were obvious pens not given, nor overturned by VAR.
  23. The PGMOL and Prem are obviously terrible, but hard to see how he keeps his job after this. Webb is going to have to remind the refs that it's fine to have these feelings, give decisions that show contempt for clubs and say these things to your mates, just don't do it on camera.
  24. Ah yep. I read it on the BBC website. Walcott talking about injuries, Deeny saying Arsenal would have to beat us home and away. Looks like they've changed the text now, so not sure if it was an error or whether they're just re-writing it since what they say he said made no sense
  25. Yeah, they have definitely had a hard run. I liked MOTD's expert analysis, with Theo Walcott saying Arsenal have to beat Liverpool home and away if they're gonna have a chance at the title. He also said that Liverpool at some stage will have injuries, like Losing Alisson and Jota for 2 months doesn't count.
