  1. Great finish. A bit like his first against Brentford. No time to think and get it wrong, but made instinctive, perfect contact.
  2. There was a great moment shortly after Endo came on. He made a strong tackle, and a few seconds later, the Saints player just didn't fancy getting Endo'd again, and just let him have the ball.
  3. Yeah, same player did a pretty similar handball. Can't help himself apparently.
  4. I can see two of Jota Diaz and Nunez going, but would be very surprised if all 3 went. But I would definitely expect one of our left backs to leave. Even a chance Elliott goes. I don't want him to as he's still young and loves the club. Am just not sure he fits in the system, and he'd bring in a decent amount. Would be surprised if Morton plays for us again, but we prob wouldn't get much for him. Oh, and there's Nat Phillips too. There's always Nat Phillips.

  6. Yeah, they were joint top with Ajax, and the cancellation sucked, but man, at least our season wasn't cancelled.
  7. Probably - but it did seem we actually made a 110+ million bid for Caceido... It's amazing what we've done this season without having any player playing consistently playing well in the center forward position, so could understand us being willing to get something for Nunez and then splash on a player still fairly young (26 in Sept) and who already knows the league. Obviously Isak is gonna have his pick of teams, if (bigger if now that it's likely top 5 for CL) Newcastle don't make it to the CL and he wants out. He could want out even if they do make it to the CL.
  8. "Jagiellonia Białystok is a Polish football club whose name translates to "Jagiellonia of Białystok". Maybe you've heard of Jagiellonia of Białystok, as they're known in English?
  9. That's a shame. Seemed to be having a decent season. Not sure if it's my imagination or not, but he seems to pick up a few muscle injures.
  10. Yeah, I thought of that too. We didn't dominate Real quite the same way PSG dominated us (in terms of possession, passing, etc) , but we still controlled much of that game and they scored with their only meaningful shot on target (vs our 9 on target and their keeper having an absolute blinder).
  11. I don't really care, because we won, and there's been plenty of games where we've dominated possessions and chances and not got what we deserved. Was weird though, like a throwback to Houllier or even something Mourinho would have done (minus the cheating and time wasting). I think if we were going to sit back as much as we did, you may as well have Endo in there instead of Gravenberch, and then bring Gravenberch on in the second half once they began to tire (they had almost nothing that second half other than long shots).
  12. I'm loving how annoyed opposition fans are to us having a lucky victory. But it is annoying that it plays into this BS narrative about "Lucky Liverpool". We've had more than enough games in the past where the reverse has happened (total domination by us, out of this world opposition keeper, one shot on target scores for them)... I can't remember the last time we had anything like the kind of game/outcome in our favour like yesterday. And then this season as a whole - I think aside from the Arsenal away game, I don't think we've been fortunate with any of our results.
  13. Cheat mode activated.
  14. I don't like how often he takes a dive, but I think Saka is very very good.
  15. He's currently manager of the Jamaican national team. Don't do it Steve.
  16. Can't remember when the voting is, but recency bias might mean Szoboszlai getting in instead of Palmer, particularly if he carries on in his current form up until when they vote.
  17. Sure is nice to look at the league table and work out when we might win the league rather than looking to see if we can generate enough hopium to believe City will drop points against [Insert teams that (old) City would never drop points against]...
  18. Bile. And a special medial for having managed 2 out of every 3 clubs in the lower leagues. Edit. I realize I'm getting my Warnocks confused. Easily done.
  19. I also think their level of intensity and pressing in the 2 seasons before this could not be sustained and likely has contributed to the amount of injuries they've suffered.
  20. Good on him for his involvement in recruiting Slot, but still would have liked us to sign another player or two.
  21. That was such an enjoyable and stress free game. So composed and dominant. Ref was bonkers confused and looked it. Guimaraes got away with the clearest of bookings for a pretty cynical foul early on (can't remember if it was on Diaz or Jota), and for the Salah non-pen early on, it was the Newcastle player that firstly tried to block Salah, and then just fell over and fouled him. Nice when it really doesn't matter and you can laugh about it, but still bonkers.
  22. Yeah, but according to fans of other teams, we had an easy run of fixtures while our key players were missing. Seriously. And no doubt Arsenal have been severely screwed this season by injuries, but I think part of that is of their own making.
  23. Yeah, that's such a massive difference. We could still bottle it, but with Arsenal chasing (11 points behind with a game in hand rather than City, 1 point behind as they were this time last year), and Arsenal's injury problems, it really would take an epic mess up from here. Or to put it another way, even if we did horrifically repeat our points tally for the final 11 games of the season, I can't see Arsenal doing enough to overhaul us. Pretty amazing though how similar our records are - even the goals scored/conceded vs this time last year
  24. Great player. Still think he looks like an actor on Dream Team when he scores.
  25. Not that it matters what pundits think, but Robbie Earl, who isn't among the dumbest of pundits said he'd rather have Rooney (alongside Shearer and Henry) in his all time Prem 11 than Salah. Lol? Some people don't realize how good Salah is and how incredible his numbers are. Not sure we'll see the likes of it again in many of our lifetimes.
