  1. I think the tour guide knows only marginally more than the baggage handler. By which I mean slightly more than zero, but still sweet FA
  2. No, was on Reddit, but I think someone else in this thread mentioned the Reddit post before. I saw it too yesterday on Reddit. Tour guide saying there was "good news" but when asked if it was about VVD deal, or Salah deal he said "No", and insinuated it was about Trent. So 2+2=7. Tour guide probably had a really good sandwich packed for his lunch, which was good news.
  3. They'll win it and then sell the trophy to one of their holding companies for 200 million.

  6. Yeah, really was freakishly bad luck
  7. Arsenal were good, but Real did a fair impersonation of Man U tonight. Utterly clueless and terrible from pretty much all of their players except maybe Valverde. Hopefully PSG smash Arsenal.
  8. Newcastle 5-0 up against Palace, and will be up to third. I'd feel bad if Forest don't qualify for the CL, mainly because their qualification means at least one of Chelsea, Newcastle or City will definitely miss out
  9. Did Arsenal get a pen because Merino was better at diving than Mbappe? Neither looked a pen to me. Can't believe how poor Real are.
  10. Yeah, I wish him well, but don't expect him to become a world beater any time ever. His time will be remembered equally for some great, clutch winning goals, some clutch terrible misses, and some utterly headless performances with and without the ball. I'm excited to see what kind of striker Slot wants (that we can hopefully get) because we've played half the season without a real centre forward and done pretty damn well...

  12. Yep. That would be the 5th highest winning points total in prem league history, and that includes when it was a 42 game season. Pretty sure we're the only team to reach 90 points and fail to win the league and Klopp did it twice. F**k those cheats.
  13. If we beat Arsenal, they can't catch us regardless, but hopefully we win it at home to Spurs. And win the rest too.
  14. Arsenal haven't lost against any of the 'big 6' (admittedly this is mostly City and us given recent struggles among other members of the 'big 6) in 2 years. Would be nice to change that when we do play them.
  15. Agree. Just emphasising the point that we aren't really in a title race, and haven't been for some time.
  16. I thought the laws of the game say it doesn't matter if it's accidental (as this was) or deliberate, it's a pen if your arm isn't in a natural position, and clearly this wasn't natural. Yet PGMOL have said pen wasn't given because it was accidental. lol.
  17. I want us to get 90 plus points, but it's funny that if we beat Arenal and lost the other 5 games we'd still win the league.
  18. Ref was like weird random bonkers. Gave them a load of very soft free kicks, and then inexplicably didn't give them the foul by Mac Allister on Paqueta that looked far more of a clear foul than many of the soft ones he'd given earlier, and that led to the corner we scored from. VAR not giving the pen for handball was very odd. Regardless of how silly the handball laws can be these days, that fitted the definition entirely.
  19. Haha! Who knew the keeper who has played second fiddle to Onana is actually not very good?
  20. He seems to be getting better. Absolutely amazing keeper.
  21. We just like to tease Arsenal fans and give them a tiny glimmer of hope before making them sad again.
  22. Despite the narrative, they've never been in the title race. The margin isn't as large, but it's similar to when we won it in 21 - just way ahead of everyone, and never really anyone else in it. Arsenal aren't even averaging 2 points a game at the mo
  23. Avoid defeat against Arsenal, and all we'd need is 7 points from our last 7 games...
  24. In other news, I wonder if Arsenal practice it, or if it's explicitly instructed, or if their players just know to act like they've been shot any time they are tackled or fouled. Every foul looks like a career ending injury for them. And Gary Neville displaying his expertise again re Saka - probably won't risk him coming on "because the one thing they will need on Wednesday is a goal". I'd say the one thing they need more than a goal, is not to concede a goal or three, but what do I know.
