  1. The obvious response would be " why is FIFA not stepping in?" But we all know the answer to that question. I really hope Palestine Iran and Venezuela all qualify.
  2. In public, or in private? I'm sure there's many that practice in front of the mirror every day waiting for the day it becomes required.
  3. My parents couldn't afford decent boots, imagine if I'd asked for a wet suit and oxygen tanks.

  6. trump is covering it. So reckon on an unmitigated disaster. Trent can go and watch in his madrid shirt, hog all the limelight and piss off his new besties.

  8. They were in thing, side laces to improve your shooting and passing. Was back in Gola's pretty soon after that. My problem was that I outgrew my boots ridiculously quickly as a young teenager. Luckily my feet stopped growing when I got to a size 13 at age 14.
  9. Barcelona 3-0 up in a rearranged game. Ridiculous decision by La Liga to have this game played so soon after the international break. Also, looking for a decent sports bar in the Montparnasse area of Paris to watch the European games 8-10 of April. No bloody Irish bar suggestions

  11. Black Boots Matter. As a kid, I used to go into town and drool at all the boots in Jack Sharp on Whitechapel. My parents could only afford the cheaper ones, which I got every birthday and Christmas. As soon as I saved enough from my various part time jobs, I bought myself a pair of the fancy new side lacing boots.
  12. And then as he's got older, he's spoken to the likes of Bellingham and Kane , and realized that playing abroad is a good deal.

  18. What a load of rubbish. Trent has taken advantage of one of the few loopholes in a system that doesn't usually favor the players. He owes us nothing, he cost the club nothing other than his wages, and they had the opportunity to sign him up to a long term deal many times. I'm not happy that he's leaving my club, but I can understand why.
  19. Why can't stupid t***s like Neville just come out and say, "he's going for the money, pure and simple" The only people who never appreciated him fully was the English media and the England managers. Yes, he got stick from fans, but so does every player from Messi to Frode Kippe. This move sets him, and his family, up for life and he gets to play in a nicer climate, an easier league and be slagged off in a language he will not understand for a while. Jealous, Gary?

  21. Like the earlier poster, I was very upset when Keegan left for Hamburg as it seemed to be a MASSIVE step down, but the money was good for him. No internet back then and the signing of Dalglish just seemed to happen and be on the radio, TV and in the papers. The fact that we made 60 thousand quid on the deal was icing on the cake. McManaman and Owen pissed me off at the time, but the moves were understandable for them as individuals. Sterling leaving was crap at the time, but you can see why he left and why the club let him go. He got paid an obscene amount of money and we got a decent fee. I have no issues with any of the others mentioned. For the most part, they gave 100% at the club (Coutinho maybe 75%) and left when we were struggling, or needed the money. Also, I don't recall us losing money on any of these good transfers, and I'm not going to mention Andy C. Oops. We've discussed this many times, but we have to remember that for the players, it's a job and not a life consuming passion that started at the moment of birth. These lads have a short period to get some serious money, unless they stumble into punditry. Liverpool FC means a heck of a lot more to us than it does to them.
  22. "por fans para fans" New strap line coming soon.
  23. Hardly a riveting collection of cup ties.
  24. And distract you from Albania v Andorra. Never!!!
