he is a decent player and I would like to have him in our squad. he is certainly not the world beater that the press has annointed him. watching yesterday's game, why don't the other 16 PL managers get a tape of that game and play Chavski like that every week. we have proved, with one aberration at Anfield, that this team can be stopped if you deny them space and time on the ball. like all decent teams, if you do not allow them time and space, they will revert to the high ball and play into the hands of a decent defence. for the record, lampard and Cech are the only 2 Chavski players i would be interested in playing for us.

Rafa is right not to sign him, he does not fit in with our style of play. Rafa could never guarantee him 1st team football and the English National Team inspired media would have been all over Rafa if owen was not getting a game. He has signed elsewhere, his asking price was too high and we can all get on with speculating on the other potential/possible signings.

It was an experiment by rafa designed to rest certain players and see what the chosen players were capable of. Potter- not good, Riise-not good, Josemi-did well and will be an option at CB, Hamman- needs a creative midfielder alongside him and he is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo slow now. Carson-did what he needed to do.
