FaT Sam must have some really crazy rules on all dead ball situations. everything from a goal kick to a throw in takes absolutely ages to get taken. he has been in the league for close to 13 years and is way past his best. as a club, we do not need to be taking on that kind of player, irrespective of his legendary status at Anfield. we need players who can be part of the future long term plans of our manager. not many players do well when they go back to the first club.

OK, I am 46 years old and for many, many years i went to every derby game possible. Alot of the games at the pit I was in the Gwladys Street as it was the only ticket available. Other than the odd bit of language and the odd pie, there was never much trouble between both sets of fans . Sometime in the late 80's and early 90's something happened to turn almost all of the Evertonians into unbelievably bitter haters of anything Liverpool FC. On a football basis, they are pretty much irrelevant and hardly worth considering. However, many of their fans now appear to be the most odious collection of human flotsam on this planet. I have watched this last derby game a few times, and the sheer hate displayed by the Everton fans bordered on the psychotic. Sad really.
