  1. Anything on when he is expected back?
  2. I never understood why we went for him, especially given his massive fee. I guess Jurgen felt he could build on his strengths (pace, power) and coach out the mistakes (decision making, misses). I think we need to move on in the summer. He will go go someplace and score some fabulous goals, but he is not what we need. Hopefully someone will be tempted to take the punt and pay a nice fee for him.
  3. They wont, which is madness really as this season we have a fantastic opportunity to win the league and CL.

I don't think Alisson saves the first goal, and he too makes the rare mistake. That said, Alisson is the best in the world and there is no doubt that he starts when fit.
  5. Arsenal have a relatively straightforward run of fixtures coming up. If we can keep pace and maintain more or less our 9 point lead, therefore giving them no encouragement, then that should go some way towards breaking their hope.
  6. Spot on. They will be very much up for this, knowing that a win can potentially reignite their League campaign.

One day - hopefully soon - Virgil is going to sign a new contract, and Grizz will immediately come out, quote himself and say I told you so. How anyone still listens to him I will never understand.
  8. Joycie just tweeted that Kostas is out for a while. Good thing that we have been lucky with injuries this season while City and Arsenal have been completely ravaged.
  9. Both Cunha and Isak are very good. I'd be very happy if we got either, though I agree that Isak is unrealistic due to the fee Newcastle would want for him.
  10. PSG. Whether he wants to go to such an inferior league is another matter. I agree though that it looks as if he really wants to stay and that there are not too many realistic alternatives for him.
  11. I don't know what the heck is going on behind closed doors, and I assume there is a bit of postering and deliberate misinformation from both sides, but it is going to be utter madness from the club if they don't renew Salah's contract. And what is more, the form he is on, the longer they wait, the more it's going to cost them.
  12. Apparently a reputed Hungarian media outlet confirming our interest.
  13. Where did you see this? If true, then presumably they have a replacement lined up.
  14. His agent is pushing for the best deal for him. Prick or not, that is what Salah is paying him for.
  15. Disappointing. Amorim is very good.
  16. How about we wait and give him a chance, eh? He's only been here 5 minutes.

That must be true then. Same.

Without a doubt. We are worried about Madrid targeting Trent? If they have any sense they would go all out for Virgil as well. For the love of god I don't know what Hughes' plan is. Get his agent in a room and don't let him out until a new contract is agreed and signed. Trent's and Mo's agents as well whilst you're at it.
  19. Agreed. I was disappointed that we didn't get Alonso. I also feared that Slot may not have the charisma and aura to succeed Klopp. Still early, but he has started really well, and he seems to posses the quiet confidence of a man who knows his worth.
  20. I don't know this Sam fellow, and he could be a straight shooter, but I hate these kind of tweets. Looking to generate excitement without containing any real info. If something turns out, he can pat himself on the back and say this is what I alluded to. If nothing happens, he can say it was always a long shot. Either way he is covered, and in the meantime hungry for info Liverpool fans are pressing the follow button.
  21. To be fair to our recruitment team, there aren't many of them around, and there doesn't seem to be a standout alternative to Zubimendi that is gettable. So the question is, do we go out and spend a lot of money on someone who will not improve us much, or do we go the season with what we have and re-assess next summer?
  22. Hunter and Fallows still here, and they may have been the ones pushing for him.
  23. Brighton having a great window. If their new manager is any good they could have a great season.
  24. I don't see it, especially after Real Sociedad agreeing to sell Merino to Arsenal.
