  1. Is that definite? I thought he was back for them.
  2. I've followed Graeme Kelly on twitter for years and he doesn't seem to be a spoofer. Certainly not an attention seeker. That said, if two contracts were done, I would expect the club to immediately announce it.
  3. Yes to all three. They can be our new Southampton.
  4. He's brilliant. Can play both CB positions so can cover both Virgil and Konate, and long term can take over from Virgil when the big man decides to retire and join Arne's backroom team.
  5. Whilst I would love a comfortable win to calm my nerves, any win will do. We cannot allow Arsenal to get any closer.
  6. Hugely frustrating. We should have won against Newcastle (late equaliser as a result of an error by the otherwise excellent Kelleher), Fulham (needless early red card), Manchester United (they are rubbish) and Forrest (totally dominated them after the equaliser). I realise that all teams have games that they can point to and say "we could and should have won that", but all of the abovementioned games were there for the taking. Brentford on Saturday is huge. We really cannot afford to drop more points, especially with Arsenal playing at home.
  7. That's got to be my all time favourite name.
  8. I've followed Sam McGuire on twitter for a while, and he always seemed a stand up guy. Not usually one with inside info. 70m for Nunez is far more than I even hoped we would get for him, and for Edwards to turn it down is a bit risky. That said, Edwards knows much more to negotiating these things than I do.
  9. Played well, although I'd be nervous if he had to start at CB against better teams. Agreed that his attitude and dedication are top notch, and that he is a very good player to have in the squad.
  10. https://x.com/__beav/status/1878078505268756941?s=48&t=yelpS7TKEexQQwNk03unwQ
  11. The way all these ITK (I hate that term!) work is, throw enough mud at the wall and some of it will stick. If Grizz, for example, tweets every few days that Virgil's new contract announcement is imminent, then - assuming Virgil does renew - one of his tweets will end up being correct, and he will retweet it several times to prove that he knew well before the rest of us.
  12. I was thinking the same thing last night, and I am pretty sure that Slot mentioned earlier on in the season that Chiesa can play across all 3 attacking positions.
  13. Agreed with all that. I really like what I've seen from him so far. I suppose a loan would be the best for his development at the moment, but he may prove to be more useful than Nunez this season.
  14. Latest murmurings is that we have left it too late and that Kvaratskhelia is Paris bound.
  15. Agreed. I'd go with Darwin and Tsimikas.
  16. With Bournemouth so high up in the league I unfortunately cannot see them selling in January unless we offer silly money, which we wont. That said, Kerzek and Zubimendi (or Baleba) in January would be some statement.
  17. ETH has really set them back years, hasn't he? Eric I will forever love you for what you did to them.
  18. Chiesa and Jota trained apart from the main group yesterday so I assume that they are not ready for Fulham. Hopefully available next week. Tsimikas back training is excellent news. Moreover, I read someplace yesterday that Konate is back doing gym work and might be back sooner than expected. Fingers crossed.
  19. This is spot on. Fantastic having him back. Kelleher has done a really good job in his absence, but Ali is on a different level. I feel much more comfortable adn relaxed with him in goal, as I am sure the whole team does.
  20. No he isn't. He'll go someplace else and score a few including the occasional beauty, but he doesn't have a future with us.
  21. It will be interesting if Alisson is back in straight away to give him minutes before Fulham, or whether he is given a few more days of training.
  22. Brilliant to have him back. Hopefully that's him done with injuries for the season.
  23. I was wondering how much input Edwards has into the daily running of the football aspect of the club. Does he sit in on discussions of which players to sign? How vocal is he on new contacts to existing players? He insisted from the outset that he doesn't want his old job as Director of Football, and that is what he has hired Hughes to do.
