  1. Me too. I can see him in the double pivot. He is not going to be here next season.
  2. Exactly. I am pretty certain our scouting department likes quiet a lot of players, but we won't bid on most of them. I really like the look of Caicedo, hopefully that gets looked at gain next summer. Also, three midfielders we were reportedly interested in will be bosmans next summer - Douglas Luis, Laimer and Tielemans - even if as backup rather than first team option.
  3. Konrad Laimer rumours hotting up on twitter. Apparently in the last year of his contract so there might be some substance to this. I'd obviously take pretty much anyone now, but is he any good?
  4. No inside knowledge whatsoever, but I suspect it's Caicedo they want. If that is the case, I am not confident this will get done. Brighton have already sold well this summer, and will not want to lose another so late in the window.
  5. This is where I'm at. Not only Jurgen. Virgil and Salah as well. Liverpool have been brilliant since Klopp has come in, we've won everything and have had a great time, but this manager and this team deserve much more than 1 league and 1 CL.
  6. Chelsea are apparently close to completing Cucurella for £55m up front and £7m in add-ons, and have had a £60m bid for Fofana rejected by Leicester. Boehly spending some serious money this summer.
  7. Interested in Harvey Barnes apparently.
  8. That's where I am.
  9. According to a piece in the Guardian today, Werner is on around 275K a week. That is insane, and explains why Liverpool backed off.
  10. I would too but I doubt anyone is paying that much for him.
  11. I genuinely feel that he sold to H&G in good faith, truly believing that it was the best thing for the club. RIP David. YNWA.
  12. Using Konate as an example of waiting for the right player has a major flaw, namely, that we were a freak (though brilliant) goal from Alisson at the end of added time away from missing out on CL. Our midfield needs a bit of a refresh, and for me there is a need for one in this summer and another (Bellingham?) next summer. Still think we try to get one in this summer if Ox goes.
  13. Seems the Barcelona interest is serious. If City lose him they'll surely get someone else in.
  14. If the club is willing to wait for him then surely they are reasons to be optimistic. Not saying it's a done deal, just that they have positive indications from the player and his camp that he favours us. That said, we probably need to bring in 2 midfielders in the next couple of years, so I hope they get someone in regardless of the likelihood of getting Bellingham next summer.
  15. Saw Nat Phillips in the training pictures and remembered he is back. Surely he can do a decent job for someone, more for his sake than for the money he would bring in.
  16. Jesse Lingard has had Everton written all over him since the day he broke out at Manchester United.
  17. A bit late to this obviously, but fantastic news. Best bit - well apart for having around a world class player for another 3 years - is we don't have to engage in what would have been an unavoidable media circus for the next 12 months.
  18. Guardian reporting today that West Ham are close to signing Arnaut Danjuma for a fee of about €40m (£34.5m) plus add-ons. He was someone we were reportedly interested in last summer.
  19. Very good signing. Chelsea seem to be doing very good business this summer - Raphinha, Sterling and one of Kounde or de Ligt.
  20. Taking into consideration the age of some of our midfield players, their injury records, Ox being no longer good enough and question marks over Jones, we would ideally need to bring in a couple of midfielders over the next three windows. So, though I understand the decision to wait for Bellingham if the club think he is the one, there is still a strong argument for getting in another midfielder this summer.
  21. 150K for a 17 year old is insane, but he is a special talent. I would love him at Liverpool, but I expect he stays at Barcelona.
  22. My brother is going to be in London on Sunday, if anyone knows of a pub that is showing the game, preferably in the West End area, that would be greatly appreciated.
  23. Southampton were terrible. Even with our second 11 out there we should have been out of sight by the end of the first half. Thought the referee was atrocious.
  24. Quite refreshing actually.
