I have a feeling they are waiting to see if Tchouameni becomes available with Madrid needing the cash to fund Mbappe this summer. I just hope it doesn't backfire on us again.

As others have said, fully expecting Lavia to be done within the next few days. When we put an offer in, we normally do so knowing an agreement is near, and we usually tend to quickly complete the deal.

I agree that we need two, especially if one of them is Doucoure who will most likely play in the AFCON. Still think that Lavia will be the other.

I think Fabinho's exit will be announced imminently, and Henderson by the end of the week. Sneaky feeling that we will bring in one of Luis or Doucoure.

Surely if Madrid are willing to let Tchouaméni go then Klopp will be all over it. But I don't think they are.

If we are bringing only one more midfielder in, then surely Lavia makes more sense than Thuram, as we need someone to initially share the burden with Fabinho and then gradually take over from him. Unless that is we are selling one (Thiago) and are looking to bring both in.

If I am reading through a multi page thread, when moving to the next page, I am taken to the bottom of that page rather than to the top. This was never an issue and has only started recently. Using Microsoft Edge.

I'd keep Thiago. If he gets runners alongside him he could be vital to any success we might have next season.

I for one will be very disappointed if we land all our targets early in the transfer window. Going to leave us with nothing to talk about the rest of the summer.

Not going to happen, but that would set us up for years. Will also allow us to gradually ease out Thiago, Henderson and Fabinho (and by gradually I mean within a year). Mac Allister and two of the other three and that is a really good summer as far as midfield is concerned.

I reckon we will get Mac Allister and Gravenberch. Hopefully add a third midfielder and a CB.

Three fantastic players but we ideally need a defensive midfielder, even if it is someone young who can gradually take over from Fabinho Great player, but we have greater priority elsewhere.

Absolutely. I think we need 3 midfielders in this summer, but I would happily settle on 2 only if it is these two.

This 3 months deal is a bit weird, but then again it is plenty of time for him to come in, piss everyone off and fall out with everyone in the club.

I don't think we'll make top four, then again I'm usually slightly pessimistic. Besides, we should be competing for the league, not top four.

I know we don't need a striker, but I think Ivan Toney would be great for us.

As growler said, FFP is dead. The more pertinent question is, where is the money coming from? If Boehly and co. are loaning against the club, then that is some debt for Chelsea to be straddled with, especially with today's interest rates.

I would be overjoyed with that. Re Gakpo, not seen much of him apart from the WC. I know we need bodies in attack with Diaz and Jota out, but is he someone to get excited about?
