  1. Cruel Put him out of his misery before he gets somebody to take him up on it !
  2. He means a 0-0 or a 1-1 so that he doesn't have to back to Old Toilet
  3. other downside is that it can't be Robbie banging in the winner in front of their smelly fans. That would have been orgasmic.
  4. In my opinion, we lost because we got tired in the last 15 minutes or so, particularly our midfield. Natural enough, given the bog of a pitch and the programme of games we've had this season. Was a bit disappointed again with our attacking set pieces. Much better to lose to the Mancs on the back of 12 great results than to lose to them while struggling to break into the top 4 [ like last season ].
  5. Remember David Connolly throwing a wobbly when Mellor joined West Ham on loan and got in the team before him.....deja vu now

    Free Fowler

Obviously I do....but I also remember why he was frequently left out.

    Free Fowler

In the treble season he was frequently left out in favour of Owen/Heskey as far as I recall. He scored 8 league goals.
  8. Fyds - As nobody else seems to have, I can confirm that I got the joke in the original post. Very good too
  9. Of course it's not going to be too favourable, given that so much of the opinions are being elicited from Manu/Roy Keane fans. Staunton [ and Quinn ] came in for so much implied criticism from Keane, post-Saipan, that most of these k**bheads will hold that against him and be calling for his dismissal before he even starts in the job.
  10. His insistence on letting Stephen Carr skip all the friendlies and then dropping Finnan when Carr decided to turn up for the qualifiers - that was a good enough reason to sack him i.m.o. Did we really have the depth of talent to leave a CL winner sit on the bench for the big games ? And of course Carr then showed how committed he was to the cause by retiring before he reached 30.
  11. "When they were up, they were up And when they were down, they were down And when they were only halfway up They were neither up nor down."
  12. Should we fail to retain the Champions League, then winning the FA Cup would put a very nice shine on a top 3 finish in the Premiership. I think it would be great to win it again and would futher boost our ever increasing confidence levels.
  13. Don't know why they bother holding such a tournament....sure doesn't Moyes say that Everton are the best team on Merseyside
  14. 4-0 now horseface pen.....Papers are going to be great tomorrow Bluenoses 1-2 down.
  15. Can be good sometimes, they had Ballague on last night talking about Rafa and the CL final. On the other hand, they went on about the Riise medal thing the other evening as if it was gospel and the biggest scandal ever. No mention of the dubious merits of the source.
  16. Obviously Duncan Ferguson helped them out during their research.
  17. Wonder what his 293 other posts were like ?
  18. I think he's suffering from a level of frustration. Arguably the Leagues' best striker for the past 12 seasons, yet only 1 medal to show for it. I think he has a few regrets & Mikey need look no further to realise he needs to get out of that place a.s.a.p. if he wants to win things.
  19. 3-1 Spurs with a couple of mins left Late dodgy Mido pen to make it 2-1. Defoe just made it 3-1. FT - 3-1
  20. I think the thread title sums it up quite well t.b.h.....and hagi's addition above compliments it nicely !
  21. Foolish me...loitering the Michael Owen thread expecting all such speculation/truth to appear in there...I must learn how to use this Internet thingy.
