Setting aside the stadium issue, which can be funded without necessarily selling shares in the club, do we actually need investment? Its not as if the club is being run on a shoestring budget and when you take Chelsea our of the equation we have consistently been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer market over the past 5 or so years, at least in the PL. The simple fact is that nobody can compete with Chelsea in financial terms but that does not mean that we can?t compete on the field, which is where it counts. Personally I think Rafa can build a title winning team without huge investment as long as he receives the same sort of financial backing that GH enjoyed while he was in charge I don?t see a problem.
