    Priceless!

lol anyone have the pic of the Premier League trophy with Chelsea on it, besides the European Cup with us on it, next to the FA Cup with Arsenal on it, and then a small coffee mug with Man Utd on it?
  2. Tis on SkySports 1 - 12.30KO http://home.skysports.com/list.asp?hlid=217652
  3. Craig Johnston? Did he have a season off and went back to Oz to look after one of his family, and Kenny persuaded him to come back later on?
  4. Quinn was superb in his ITV2 Euro commentary for us last season - often pointing out who was injured or unavailable, praising us for our persistance and performances without 'key' players - and has the ability to give his opinion - yet give alternatives when things don't come off where other pundits are found lacking. Top man as well - Sky/ITV should use him a lot more
  5. Did Rooney get booked - isn't that his 5th of the season, and therefore will miss the next game...? If Ferguson called the ref a cheat he should have been sent from the dugout to the stands - and noted in the refs report. Doubt it'll happen though...
  6. It'll be interesting to see what happens next season should we qualify for the Champions League again - as IIRC the CL shirt has a 2 year shelf life... Will adidas make the same shirt available next season (albeit with an adidias logo as oppsed to a reebok one) ? or does the 2 year shelf life thing become void as we've in effect 'switched' kit manufacturers? If not, will they bring out a new one when we win it Paris this year?
  7. For some fans the League Cup may be one of the few chances they'll get to see their team play. It's also a good opportunity to see how any young up-and-coming players or reserves are doing. To play against a big team, to go to grounds they wouldn't otherwise go to - to knock out the team from the division above - or below. To try and get into Europe for the season after, to generate some money, to try and get through to a Cup Final and play at the Millenium Stadium (or Wembley), and to win a trophy. Come the day of the League Cup Final is there one fan who'd rather not be there to cheer his team on?
  8. For around 70mins it was difficult to tell who was the Premiership team and who were the part-timers. Fair enough Burton tired at the ned and looked nervy, but until then they palyed some good intelligent stuff and asked plenty of questions of Utd' international players on display. Well in to Clough Jnr & Burton - hope they do it in the replay - wonder if Fergie will play the same XI in that game?
  9. ^ I think he's loan - but as it's the last season of his contract I don't think we'll see him again in a red shirt. Could well be the same for Diao too. Should be interesting to see what happens with Le Tallec - wonder how long he has left on his contract, and if he'd even be interested in signing an extension? (could go somewhere else on a free transfer?)

  11. I think it was probably inevitable that Owen was going to get a mixed reception on his 1st playing return to Anfield. What will be interesting is to see what happens the next time he plays here - will the people who booed him last week boo him again? Possibly not - or perhaps not as many will. Maybe the booing and the songs etc was a way of letting Owen know just how much he hurt us and disappointed us, in his treatment of the club and leaving like he did, when he did - and now that point has been made clearly to him.
  12. Perhaps, in a World Cup year, Baros is told that he is no longer wanted at LFC. He then decides to stay in the Premiership so there is no major upheaval for him - he can still play in a league he knows, in a team which has his old m8 and colleague, in the country where he has played for a few years now - whilst almost guaranteeing his World Cup place. He has a decent/good/brill World Cup - and will probably take his pick from a fair few clubs with bigger ambitions than Villa. After all he is only 24yrs old. Either way - good luck to the lad.
  13. Thought he was a little off the pace - maybe through of lack games - early on in the match, but was his much more assured self as the game progressed. Be interesting to see if he plays tonight - hope he does.
