  1. I just noticed the slogan under their logo which reads 'The Official Website of The Professional Footballers' Association'. Surely this cannot be true? Look at newsnow and look at the standard of their headlines. nearly all of them are dubious rumours with phrases like: -Wing wonder -Wing Wizard -Strike sensation (which leads to stories about Carlton Cole et al) -Shock Swoop (about 200 of these) -New Torres Partner (about 500 of these) The best one though was a headline which included 'Strike Sensation' and led to a story on Robert Huth. Surely this is the worst football news site ever? I think Dunk would even struggle with this level of sensationalist bulls***. If you haven't noticed givemefootball before, you certainly will now after reading this. Mind blowingly bad.
  2. In term of marketing and revenues, signing players like Suarez and Honda would be very intelligent in that we'd see large shirt sales and brand exposure in other parts of the world.
  3. Thank you. I'm tired of being told he's a decent red every time I call him on covering all bases. The wee fella is a wannabe and a f***in idiot.
  4. Which history will barely even remember anyway.
  5. If Kenny does go in, it'll be interesting to hear what back up he gets from Hansen, Lawrenson, Thompson, Aldridge etc.
  6. Personally, I think we need to instill an entire new culture at the club. If that means ousting a lot of backroom staff and players then so be it.
  7. Just saw this from a decent red I know on facebook: Reliable source inside Melwood: Roy has said his goodbyes to the backroom staff. Comolli wants Deschamps, but no chance before summer. If true, it points to a caretaker. The trouble is, anyone could be feeding anyone a line at the minute.
  8. History tells you to go to bed mate.
  9. It's as plausible as anything else we've dreamt up between us all. The main problem with this whole situation is that by bursting our own bubble in relation to how we perceive NESV, we open ourselves to a huge depression. Truth is, NOBODY knows if the fantasy or the depression is closest to the truth.
  10. So far, that 10am, 12pm, 1pm, 3pm and 4pm
  11. Or else they are very very clever and are manufacturing chaos so that they don't have to spend in January, they have a reason to sell an uninterested Torres and still come out looking like saviours when they finally get around to doing something. I'm probably talking s*** but my head is melted with it all.
  12. Agreed. Not in good taste at all.
  13. Well, that's usually a pretty apt description of those who call other people knee-jerkers. If you meant something else, then you're right, I missed the point.
  14. FFS Even get Phil Thompson in. He'll beat the b-llocks out of those Marys on the pitch.
  15. Don 't worry about it. We are all angry and engaging tongue before brain. There's nothing wrong with that though. We have every right to be angry at the minute.
  16. I reckon six years would be closer.
  17. Given the circumstances, he'll bring in a few young players who look a cert for the future. This is probably the best case scenario.
  18. I think the new permanent manager will get a long time. While this is a good thing, we are also back to 'five year plans', 'turning corners' and lots of other cliches. I reckon it'll be a long time before we're beating Madrid et al again. A looooooooong time.
  19. Most worryingly, when we need leadership the most, the owners have decided to conclude their charm offensive and go into hiding.
  20. Can you picture our squad had Rafa never been here? We'd have been singing that we all dream of a team of Cheyrous. There's nothing wrong with the core of our team. It's the mentality and culture that's f***ed up and no amount of signings or money will fix that. We need a leader who leads and who knows the value of LFC. Managers aside, we havent even had owners who were aware of that. Not in decades anyway.
  21. Unfortunately, the evidence so far says they wont, that's why People can only go on what they've seen. I hope to be wrong though as Ferguson is no doubt polishing MIchael Owen's boots personally to deliver the humiliation of all humiliations. I agree in terms of a long term manager. The last thing we need is another Roy who they couldnt possibly back with money. However, they had to know that Roy couldnt go on until the summer. They just had to know. And if they didnt, well......
  22. Seems that only yourself and Roy Hodgson don't think this is a situation where it's OK to have a reaction. Typical, if all else is failing, get on a moral high horse. In the absence of success at least you can claim to be an 'I'm better than you' fan.
  23. Correct
