  1. Regardless of the circumstances, Suarez has landed us right in it on the field. He better show some bloody loyalty in future as he has been well supported. As for the FA, I think this is more about undermining Dalglush than undermining Suare or racism. Last thing they want us the one man who can make Liverpool a force again. Any business will protect it's own investment after all
  2. Our position suggests that we aren't even good enough to get a Europa place. There are 5 much better teams than us at the minute - unfortunately.
  3. Downing in one word: Spineless.
  4. Are signings thus far have proved this moneyball strategy to be a myth.
  5. I doubt he could cover up the imperfections in our squad.
  6. Yeah. I don't get the whole 'fashion' section but the footy stuff and panel is top class. Again, I really don't get the fashion thing. If anything, I think it reduces the integrity of an otherwise fantastic resource.
  7. Thanks Gomez. Check this out http://scouse.forum-gratuiti.com/t598-jamie-kanwar
  8. Ii was thinking the same thing Tosh. Yes guys, I've followed TAW from the start. Really good podcast.
  9. Not sure if he's a Manx like but there's something really dodgy about him.
  10. It's strange to think we are within touching distance. It's probably (and sadly) more likely though that Arsenal and Chelsea will have a decent run of form before we will. I think the only positions in the current top 6 that will change by the end of the season is first and second. But I sure as hell hope that I'm wrong.
  11. f*** me, there are some babies on here. I'm sure you knew damn well what I meant yet you chose to post an arrogant reply. I was simply pointing out that there's not as much 'news' in this thread as normal at this time of the year. And whilst it's frustrating knowing nothing, it's a bloody good indicator as to how the club is now being run. Carry on with your infantile retorts though. Whatever keeps you happy Internet Warrior.
  12. Can anyone point me in the direction of decent LFC blogs which have actual and interesting articles about LFC? I used to love going onto newsnow and reading the views of our articulate fans. Lately though, it's been a bloody nightmare. The worst of which is that guy Jaimie Kanwar at liverpool-kop.com In EVERY 'article', he takes a quote from the press that we've all already seen umpteen times and tries to spin it from a 10 word quote into a 150 word 'article'. His motives are clearly pay per click advertising rather than football - which makes it even stranger that he signs every article with his name - as if he is somehow proud of his journalistic offerings. What he posts are, at best, forum topics and not articles. Anyway, rant over, so who are the decent bloggers? I'm trying to built an RSS list here. Thanks all.
  13. he's probably suggesting there should have been a plan B in the event that the players didn't click.
  14. And Kenny and Damien sit around looking at their watches and then start identifying targets on January 1st? I suppose that would explain why no insiders have heard of any transfer targets.
  15. In short, Manchester United are the sponsored, flagship team of Sky and the Premier League and those organisations will do whatever they have to in order to protect their investment. This impacts on us because we are the genuine threat to Manchester United's crown. Nouveau riche clubs will come and go and I suppose that suits them all. Liverpool FC, on the other hand, are genuine pedigree, capable of upsetting the balance of power and a very substantial investment. In addition, the same people who own Sky and the Premier League, own a lot of the media. That's about it I think.
  16. Sounds like there isn't a serious credible rumour at all this window. Frustrating yet impressive.
  17. We are making some seriously bad decisions on the pitch tonight. It aint pretty and this match is going nowhere :-(
  18. I watch Rory D regularly at Solitude. In terms of the irish league, he's feckin amazing. Whether or not that talent would translate to the English Premier league is hugely debateable. Both leagues are light years apart. As good as he is on a Saturday over here, we can't escape the fact that this is akin to signing a young player from the conference. He scores good goals indeed. I have a right few vids on my iPhone which I'll upload if he signs. Cant see it though. Personally, I think Swansea would be a good move for him right now. I'd love him to stay at Cliftonville but it aint gonna happen.
  19. We'd be talking AT LEAST a 20 million loss in that scenario.
  20. Maybe actually keep him on the bench tomorrow night, favouring Kuyt and Bellamy, and bring him on when we have a decent lead - ie, when there's zero pressure on him. Let him do what he does and see himself that he can.
  21. I think Adam will only prove real value when played as part of a three man midfield.
  22. He scored in the last round of the cup and was then benched for two games. It's hardly genius management either. There are variable other than fitness, form and sharpness. Next time he scores, he should play the next game. Confidence is great medecine.
  23. Henderson and Adam are huge question marks. I refuse to speculate on carroll just yet as the answer I fear is unthinkable. I think Carroll will come good though and feel he has been slightly mismanaged. He scored, was left on the bench for two games and was then expected to do the business at a difficult Spurs side. That Stoke game was made for Carroll, he should have played there and the more expereinced (and usier) Kuyt should have played against spurs. I'd have Kuyt or Maxi on ahead of Henderson every game except Cup matches - at the minute.
  24. Considering meireles and Aqua were sold, we definitely needed another midfielder. I cant beleive we went back in for Adam in the summer. I thought he may have been bought as back up - not as the main man. Lunacy. Anyway, a defensive midfielder at the minute would allow us to play Lucas in his natural more attacking position. It's all cricket now though
