There's no chance in hell of babel getting ahead of kuyt at RM. Rafa loves kuyt way too much for that.

BAsed on last season its hyypia and one other...Hyypia was BOSS last season.

No he thought he hadn't been picked and went on holiday leaving his mobile phone at home. Of course he was then drafted in but O'Neil couldn't get hold of him to tell him.

Id rather mascherano in the middle than alonso and i'd rather essien than mascherano. Alonso has no pace and once someone gets passed him he won't catch them. For someone of his talent he doesn't score enough goals and has a pretty poor shot on him in general. Alonso can't take a game by the scruff of the neck and make things happen. The only players that can do that for us are gerrard and torres.

Problem is though that if you have two players that just stay out wide they are easier to mark. By benayoun drifting infield to help with our play he's harder to pick up and what should then happen is that our fullbacks push up to offer us the width. That's why you find with most wide players that they drift infield at times. This is also why benayoun will score more goals in one season than pennant will in 3.

i know it won't realistically happen but really players like hyypia, riise, crouch, kuyt, voronin, pennant and sissoko all need to go. None of them are liverpool class and while having too many of these in our starting 11 we are never going to win the league. We don't need to replace sissoko as we have levia and i'd like to give babel a run of games just to give him a proper chance to see if he can make it at RM. We would need backup for aurelio with riise gone and id give arbeloa a run at RB as finnan as looked dodgy lately. There are plenty of good strikers out there, henry being one as it looks like he's not happy there and they aren't happy with him. Put him up front with torres and let them run havok. Maybe a sneaky bid for mancini as kewell will most probably be leaving on a free and then its a case of getting 2 backup strikers. I'd give our youth players a try. Lets d an arsenal and try to bed in more youth.

On a side note i'm glad we missed out on Malouda. I've never rated him and have seen nothing to change my opinion about him.

Torres is better than kuyt and Voronin in every single way. When fit Torres should always be starting ahead of all of our strikers. I thought this year our priority was the league, i'm starting to think that's crap. Our priority still seems to be the champions league. People keep talking about us being fresher by the end of the season with rotation but that's no good if we're well off the pace by then like last season.

Let's be honest here crouch and kuyt are both not good enough. Yeah they work very hard but they are just not clinical enough. Torres should have started, he's our best striker by a mile and no other manager apart from Rafa would drop their best striker for the last two league games.

We match the top teams in defence and at CM but definitely don't in the wide areas or up front. In the wide areas only babel would have a chance in their teams as pennant, kewell and benayoun simply aren't good enough for the team and really shouldn't be good enough for us. They are average players you should be playing for villa or newcastle. Up front Torres is quality, not totally convinced by kuyt at all. Yeah he works hard and runs a lot but he needs to score more goals and definitely needs a better first touch. Crouch is crouch, he's pretty good but isn't going to get any better imo.

Its all about our style of play. We hardly commit many players when going forward hence why we are so hard to score against but it also means its harder for us to score. I don't truely believe we have found the right balance between being defensive and attacking. Also, i know its debatable but i just believe that Gerrard should be in the middle. He's our best CM by a mile and should be in the middle with mascherano. Sorry i like Alonso but he's not better than gerrard or mascherano in my opinion as i find him too slow and not strong enough. What is needed is two quality wide players as i don't really rate pennant and we can't guarantee a fit season from kewell either. Gerrard could match fat frank for goals if he played a whole season in the middle with mascherano next to him. Then we would have a good balance because both can tackle and have pace. Plus gerrard can get forward knowing that mascherano can cover him unlike Alonso.

I'd be more than happy with eto, ribery and pederson. Get those 3 and our first 11 would be amazing. I'm a big fan of Pederson.
