  1. you’ve moved to the Canary Islands? why can’t you get hot water ?
  2. ask anyone who knows about football say like the type of people who go the game, for instance…… and they’ll all say that under THIS ownership*, if VVD, Trent and and Mo all leave at the end of the season, we’ll be in the wilderness for years * the very parsimonious kind
  3. if all three stay then we have a chance of finding successors over a reasonable period ie 2 seasons if all three leave then we have ZERO chance in 1 (or more) window, the team will collapse and we’ll have to start again
  4. lads, brace yourselves for a decade or more of misery Assumption: all 3 leave that’s the only assumption needed cos replacing them would be almost impossible even if money was not an issue
  5. how do you know? if you don’t go the game…..
  6. yet get an injury prone player for that perhaps this could be be FSG’s new we’re the smartest people in the room paradigm just sign 5 cheap-cos-theyre-injury-prone players for one position
  7. I think that would weaken both the left side and the centre forward position also, apart from all of Nunez’s weakness, the very system of play ie slightly more patient, makes it even harder for him to excel
  8. If Diaz is dropped then we need a left sided ball carrier maybe Nunez could be risked there, with Jota in the middle at least he’d know what he’s supposed to be doing don’t see it happening though
  9. what did you say? I said piss, s***, f***, c***
  10. Surely Jota then later on Diaz is a straight swap for Cody and likewise Nunez for Jota
  11. I prefer…. but in all seriousness, FSG’s policy of being the 9th biggest spenders in the PL is not compatible with being in all 4 competitions, deep in to the season the upcoming period is terrifying 5 in 15 days! and we have to come out of it with our squad intact and without losing ground to Arsenal
  12. This is a thread about him
  13. don’t apologize in fact, KEEP. THEM. COMING. thanks for noticing shows empathy if you were single, you could use that quality at Speed Dating to devastating effect
  14. I was actually thinking of Rick Wakeman but then I thought to myself ‘let someone else come up with some ideas’ - no need to always provide solutions; instead prompt and help the flow like Curtis
  15. everyone does that its the new way of playing ALSO he still takes too long to release the ball sometimes here are 2 scenarios where that’s a problem: 1 he loses it 2 he could have played someone in for a shot, had he passed first time OR had he passed it quicker, the receiver of the pass could have set up a chance nb - I see you’d addressed that point already my comment stops short of an apology of course but it’s an acknowledgement
  16. perhaps there’s been a misunderstanding: I didn’t say he’s never assisted a goal or done anything good I said less ambitious, not less ambitious with his passing Curtis is a ball-keeper - his job is to prompt and link up and when there’s an opportunity, set up a chance or shoot think of him as a rhythm guitar player in a trad 4 piece rock combo Dom’s role is not the same - it involves far more risk of losing the ball, more running with the ball at his feet, more running beyond the ball, stretching the play etc
  17. better on the ball? he’s far less ambitious so he doesn’t lose it as much

  19. he’s 5th choice what the actual f*** is going on? I’m not the bad guy here - 5 downvotes for pointing out the obvious why stop at Darwin? tell you what, how about FSG are in fact amazing owners as we have now beaten Brentford
  20. I’ve never heard that in the ground
