@ Coyler: no, I checked and apparently they sing that in English. To be fair, though, their speciality is more in punk rock and drinking-themed songs where they have some cracking successes such as "Kein Alkohol ist auch keine Lösung" (No alcohol is also not a solution), "Zehn Kleine Jaegermeister" (10 little Jaegermeisters) and "Eisgekuehlter Bommerlunder" (Ice-cold Bommerlunder - kind of schnapps).

This one is actually quite funny. I was reading the German "Kicker" magazine yesterday and there was a four page spread questioning Hitzfeld's future with all sorts of charts and tables of stats to support the story. The thing that Rummenigge and Hoeness have publicly been criticising him for since the Bolton result? You guessed it, too much rotation! Clearly if they don't want a change from that, they should chase Rafa

Just stumbled across this. The German band Die Toten Hosen (The Dead Trousers?) were in Istanbul for the final and claimed to the players after the game that they sing YNWA at the end of every concert. Leto and Putterill seem to be competing to see who is best at running straight into a Blackburn player with the ball. Putterill in particular is producing nothing on the right. Always turning inside. Hopefully the second half will be better.

Kompany seems to be constantly injured and the Hamburg boss Beiersdorfer seems to have established somewhat of a record of not letting players go easily. See Van der Vaart this summer. Can't really see him letting Kompany go mid season and I don't reckon he's really proved himself in Germany just yet anyway.
