I think it would more worrying if he had received assurances and minimum spend etc. I cant believe this is happening. I can understand (not agree) with previous managers time being up but replacing them with Roy is horrific decision. His track record, whether people like it or not, is an indicator for future performance. I wont slag him once and if he signs but i have no positive vibe about him at all!

I think its more economic than a protest though. A day tripping manc loving manc (the worst sort) mate of mine has been called yesterday and offered as many as he wants at the leper colony. £800 each with compulsory purchase of the cup games. Never ever been so underwhelmed, uninspired. I will be there every week but cant accept that LFC are appointing and aiming for mid table. Throughout 30 years of going to the games and 20 years of not being top dogs I always believed we were 2/3 players here or there to challenge. NOW I FEEL NOTHING. Willing to be convinced but dont believe this guy will take us forward from last year even.

Also when Barcap got involved di they not inject £60mill of cash (not just for transfers obviously but for operational costs and set up costs etc) There was talk of investing in the team to maintain value and keep them at least competitve.

In over 30 years of match going (21 as an ST Holder) I have never been so underwhelmed at the prospect of Hodgson been our manager. Is it because we are doomed to mid table drab football or that i am now a cynical fart. We need more than a manager with 2 seasons of improving a small club (but traditional and respected club) into mid table and hard to beat. I want inspiration and aspiration. I suspect a few of our players will do too.
