If you look at the strengths of the players it seems a straight forward decision to me. Strong at centre half. Atacking full backs who are suspect defensively. Free up SG in midfield to supply 2 strikers so Nando does not take all the hits. Home midfield is the potugeese lad sitting with cole and SG roaming and away Poulsen and Meirelles sitting with Steve supporting. Put some reality in there. RH is as much to blame for this transfer market as Purslow. When he took the managers job we were a striker short and an attacking midfielder/wide man. The window shuts and we are in the same situation. The blame for this lay at the whole management structure. One of our first signings should have been a striker. The squad is weaker this season than last. The team maybe (just maybe) stronger but any injuries and we all know what happens. RH will have known his budget and will have had to cut his cloth accordingly. Remember Rafa got it wrong too when splashing out on Johnson and Aqua
