United? I don't like this assumption that it's Man United. What about Newcastle? Sheffield? Leeds? The sooner they become AIG Inc the better.

What about some of the pens we've been awarded? Perfect example was the Gary Mac at Sunderland a few years ago? The disallowed goal CFC got against us? There are loads of examples of us being lucky..ask the supporters of any other PL team.

If Mongewell is a Manc/Toffee, then he's partly succeeded because he's got the attention he craves. If he isn't you've all put him off posting again, fearing a lynch mob against any view we don't all concur with. Some forum. Or do you think differently?

Was promised a ticket for the Leppings Lane by a mate who let me down on the morning of the game. Went to the Everton game instead (the old days) with a Blue friend who had a spare. It's never sunk in how lucky that was.

(Unrealistic) hope springs eternal! Most of my drinking pals here have Toon ST's. I used to get endless chit off them about LFC but now they rarely mention us, except when we get beaten. They did support us against the Arce though (as they will agoinst chewsee). They expect me to brag, I never do. They also ask for forecasts when we play them, which is a no win scenario, so I don't bother. Have to say I actually feel sorry for them having won nowt for 40 years. Must be fing nauseating.

I've lived up here for many years now, and it makes me laugh when they trot that crap out. Having been to dozens of games, they're no better than most other PL sides. Prior to the recent turnaround in form there were adverts on the back of buses and on the radio to get people to go. This in a one PL team city too. Huge club. Huge.
