What? Who cares about Markovic? A David James comparison works better.. Look, its a tough job being a Liverpool goalkeeper. Very few is up for it. Remember Brad Friedel getting loads of abuse, and he was rather good. Jerzy too. Even Reina towards the end here. We need someone special, and I don’t know if they are available. If not, we’re back next summer chasing another one.

Can’t continue pulling this. Or Gerrard. Or Rush, Souness etc. We improved without him, and not just because of VVD. Firmino, Salah, Ox really stepped up.

Lots of different fans of other clubs admire him, even mancs. The exception is Everton fans, of course.

Yeah. Most are. And more often than not, they ref the game, not the occasion. Not that they get everything right, obviously. Would be nice playing the mancs not worrying about Mourinho mind games or ‘current climate’ decisions. Or facing Everton or Stoke without them being allowed to kick us all over the place. Pay the best referees to come here. Pay well, and get rid of those who don’t perform. Not really rocket science, is it. Current crop of english refs certainly aren’t up to the task.
