  4. Worse than their obnoxious fans and their over-inflated ticket prices when we visit?
  5. Both clubs have serious problems amongst their fan base. The Premier League does not suffer sectarianism and I see no reason why we should want to import it.
  6. His occasional sneaky use of the elbows and the head-kicking incident with Neil Lennon prevented me from becoming a huge fan. But kudos to him for his reaction to the taunts from The Kop yesterday. I can't imagine Messers Ferguson and his lapdog Allardyce being so sporting
  7. Moyes will continue to do this because he's got a massive chip on his shoulder about us. In some sense it's a compliment because it's evidence (if any was needed) that they sit in our shadow. It's occasionally annoying because he resorts to twisting the truth in an attempt to get the upper hand and outsiders start taking his words as fact. (e.g. a greater percentage of their fans probably are local but that's because they've a much smaller fan base not because they've more local fans). What irks me most is that, while he is prepared to dish it out, he and his club cannot take it. If there's a hint of a response from Rafa or us, then outraged responses start appearing on their official web-site. It's small-time behaviour from a smaller club

  10. Fernando's also mentioned receiving a lot of useful advice from Valero. Xavi doesn't get much publicity but he's obviously doing a decent job behind the scenes with the whole team, not just the keepers

  13. Moyes' outbursts can be summed up in three words......chip on shoulder. The more I read what he's said, the more I think he's made himself look small-time. As for the fans - I meant to mention that ours sounded great on Wednesday - totally out-sang the opposition .
  14. His lack of class and dignity is shown up in his constantly feeling a need to talk himself and his team up (including claiming they have class and dignity) But I suggest we don't get too wound up. After all, beating a 10 man Liverpool is a highlight in his career and the most the Bluenoses have had to celebrate for some time. So lets give them their moment - as we did with Barnsley last year
  15. The bright side is the same as it always is on the odd occasions they beat us.....despite last night's result I still can't think of a single reason why I wish I'd been born a Blue.
  16. I was going to say I'm less happy watching Liverpool than I used to be but it's more accurate to say I'm less relaxed and therefore it's less enjoyable. Some of it is down to the fact that in the past we had so many good times and you could pretty much bank on the team getting maximum points at home. But it's also due to the impact that money has on the game these days. I remember coming away from Anfield after Forest had knocked us out of the European Cup. I was disappointed but at no time did I think it would ruin our season. Had we lost to Liege, then I think it would not only have affected the rest of this season but probably the next (due to the loss in income). The potential impact was at the back of my mind during the whole of the Liege qualifier and I simply couldn't enjoy the game. Fast forward to tomorrow...well derby games have always been tense and never been quite the friendly affair they've always been portrayed. But these days they are truly nasty and for that reason I won't enjoy the game (albeit nothing will keep me away!)

  20. They also suggested that Valencia was unlucky to pick up the first booking (despite admitting that technically he was in the wrong). But they failed to show the 2 minutes that led up to that booking when the entire defensive wall should have been shown a yellow
  21. There were no broken legs. Too many studs-up tackles last night

  23. The presenter in the studio at Radio Merseyside asked the match reporter how big a crowd it was and never got a straight answer. I think the reporter said that it obviously wasn't a sell out and that there were one or two empty spaces but he never gave the impression the ground was mostly empty!
  24. When Robinson was proposing it originally, Everton may have had the cash to come up with their half but that's not the case anymore. This article is obviously written by a desperate Bitter but you have to wonder why the editor allows The Echo to keep flogging this particular dead horse. After backing The Kings Dock project, then the groundshare (first time round), then Destination Kirkby you think they'd be wary of talking up yet another project that (hopefully) is destined to end in failure
