The club used to be about the fans and the ground was part of the fans identity. The shared ground would take that away. When you add that to an increasingly uncompetitive league, high ticket prices, availability of football on TV, the constant shifting of matches to inconvenient times and the feeling that the game is polluted by too many hangers-on both on and off the pitch (priority given to corporate attendees, too many players playing for the wage packet and not the shirt etc) I think the shared ground would be the final nail in the coffin for many. No doubt those empty seats would be filled temporarily by the glory hunters with their LFC bags filled with newly purchased goodies. But a long run of poor form and failure to win a shiny pot or two would soon see them toddling off to the Mancs or some other fad that becomes cool to be attached to and it would totally kill any mystique and atmosphere that remains about our home. I also remain to be convinced of the wisdom of going into partnership with an organisation (in the form of the Bluenoses) that has seen off so many CEO's recently and makes us look well run
