They're still trying to flog the more expensive seat plus food packages. Wonder what they'll do with the seats if they remain unsold? Leave them empty or wake up to the fact that the fan base doesn't have an endless supply of cash?

Do we have a problem with Sheffield Wednesday fans and their club?
Lou replied to Morse 's topic in Liverpool FC
I did the same with The Sheffield Star (the Echo equivalent). The reaction in the public comments section of the inquest reports was mixed. Sadly there were a significant number still sticking to the lies. Having said that, the quality in the comments sections in The Echo doesn't always point to an intelligent bunch of subscribers. -
They could have started with the season ticket allocation first. The club claim that they've made every effort to offer a seat within a comparable location to our current seats but they clearly have not. The Corporates were allowed to pick their seats weeks ago which probably left too few available to allow people to remain in roughly the same location. I suspect those in the Paddock area have been least affected but many of those further back in the current Main Stand will be facing a significant move.

Well that was a tad stressful. I attempted to login in at 10 am on the dot but the ST ticket selection remained closed for a while so I guess their server clock time was a bit slow. When it finally opened I was stuck in a queue for a minute (which I hadn't expected). After spending so long looking at the seat selection on the 360 degree view, it's was bit confusing that they present the seat selection in a different orientation (with the pitch at the top of the screen). The seats in the more central section (L7) went very quickly. There were still some available when I logged in but despite selecting quickly, the seats I'd wanted had become unavailable by the time I pressed "Buy". When I returned to Block L7 for selection a second time, no seats were available in L7. I tried L8 next and this time allowed the system to "select the best seats available". But I didn't like the choices presented, so I went back to pick manually and got better seats i.e. don't trust the system! Somehow in the middle of switching from "best seats available" to manually picking, I ended up on a page that was selling tickets for matches and with no obvious way back to the seat migration page. I gambled on using the Back button and thankfully it worked. We've ended up slightly closer to The Kop and about 10 rows forward of our current seats which is okay. But I think a lot of people are going to be very unhappy. Anyone unable to access a computer around 10 o'clock will probably end up at the extreme end of the Upper Tier albeit with a fine view of the pigeon droppings on The Kop roof. Meanwhile, from next season, the Corporate customers will be occupying their old position - that's if the "suits" can tear themselves away from the bar.

Does anyone know where the Press Box is in the new Main Stand? I have a recollection of ST holders being thrown out of their seats as UEFA demanded more facilities over the years. Hopefully the new Press Box is big enough to cope with future demand but it would annoying to pick a seat close to the Press Box and then find yourself being moved again.

Did you log on immediately the window opened? Do they check if the seat is still available as you select it or do they wait until you've confirmed that you want it (or them if you're picking for friends and family)?
-
Do they present you with suggested seats or do you pick them from the layout as presented on the 360 view. Were you looking for just one seat or several via linked accounts? Any trouble logging on?

Don't think the present incumbents will be the problem. The club will be keen to flog Main Stand seats to those who are prepared to pay a couple of grand extra for a "free" burger, "free" coffee and "free" programme.

I've just be on the official site and you can put in your name and member number and it tells you when you will be offered the chance to pick. Looking at the associated selection dates it looks like I'll have the option of a seat in the Lower Main Stand. I can't understand why they don't give us a roughly like-for-like location and save the land grab and ensuing stress on the web site and the ST holder

The Official Site says "that most Season Ticket Holders currently sat within the Main Stand / Paddock will be offered a seat comparable to the location of the seat they currently occupy, unfortunately there are a number of seats that due to the configuration of the stand will be no longer be available; however these supporters are guaranteed a seat." I had interpreted that as saying most of us would be staying in roughly the same area. But I bet when this was written they were expecting to fleece us for £77 a game. The idea of a "land grab" is appalling as is the lack of notice. Some people may be on holiday this week and not know or in meetings on Friday. It's a ridiculous way to treat long standing customers
