  1. As much as i dont really care but i've just got in to watch a bit of hyperbole on tv and at the top of the hour sky sports news have 10 minutes of redknapp beating bolton before mentioning that chelsea have lost their 5 year unbeaten home run to a team who just happen to be now 3 points ahead of them at the top of the league. Now i ask myself, if this had been manu v chelsea would it not be top news until xmas 2012?
  2. The bitter twunt is permanently talking about Atletico as if he's broadcasting to spain, he's not evening mentioning Liverpool, and he's defending the goal as if they're the supporters he's talkinng to!
  3. Can anyone else see that Rafa might play Sami instead of Dagger? Its just the kind of thing i can see him doing maybe tinking Dan isn't fully match fit or someat!
  4. It wasn't this time round but i think during the last internationals but i heard someone on the radio say that Gerrard only has the same reputation as Lampard because of the goals he scores. I think he got the names the wrong way round.
  5. Surely if Atletico have till friday to lodge an appeal, and they do, then the appeal will not be heard before the match anyway???
  6. He'll be safe then because they don't train at Villa Park ;-)
  7. ...and Arsenal. In hindsight it was quite obvious really with all the 'Undefeated' build up to this weekend!
  8. When Fernando Torres has sex with a man, it won't be because he is gay. It will be because he has run out of women.
  9. Does anybody fancy giving a short summary of these 85 pages? It would take me all day to go through what i've missed over the weekend and i can't work out how much of this is wild specualtion or if any of it has any real weight behind it!!!
  10. It sounds like he's doing the commentary on a mobile phone and then occasionally passing the phone to Graham Taylor for punditry!
  11. I was about 11 so haven't experienced it in my adulthood. However, unless we won it on the last day of the season i'm not sure if i could be as exstatic as i was in 2005 as it will be more of a building emotion as we step closer and closer to the title. Istanbul was just completely unexpected happiness which emerged over a space of 60 odd minutes!
  12. A lovely gesture and i don't doubt for a minute that he means everythig he says but i can't help thinking he didnt actually write it!! The grammar is slightly too good and i'm sure his english wasn't that good while he was here!!
  13. I flew to there out of manchester a couple of years ago. Might have been Jet2 i think.
  14. That'll hurt him, even if he gets 3 cars on the drive it'll only net him about £400 a season!!
  15. You are David Maddock and i claim my threepence
  16. If we get Heinze and poo all over the mancs while we do it he shouldn't be allowed to play for us but we should just stick him in a glass case in the museum.
  17. Interesting BBC McManaman set for Birmingham role Steve McManaman McManaman retired as a player in 2005 Former England winger Steve McManaman has been appointed to the board of the company buying into Birmingham City. The 35-year-old will become an executive director with Grandtop International if it takes up its deal to buy a 29.2% stake in the club. McManaman will offer advice to the group, which is owned by Hong Kong businessman Carson Yeung. "They know my expertise in sport in England and in particular football," he told the South China Morning Post. "I know a lot of people in the sport and I have a lot of contacts. "I will help out and give ideas as a friend as the people involved in the company are very good friends of mine and hopefully we can have exciting times in the future." McManaman played for Liverpool, Real Madrid and Manchester City and won 29 England caps before retiring in 2005. He is reported to have helped Yeung set up his deal with Birmingham. Directors David and Ralph Gold as well as David Sullivan have each agreed to sell 14.81% of the club's shares to Yeung. Karren Brady has agreed to part with a 0.23% stake, with fellow director Roger Bannister completing the agreement, by offering to sell 0.05%. The arrangement makes Yeung the largest individual shareholder, but does not put him in total control of the club. Sullivan and the Golds will still maintain a major role, though the door is open for Yeung to gain a controlling interest. In the new arrangement the stakes of the Gold brothers and Sullivan fall to 23.22% each.
  18. We start at Villa, then home to west ham on the wednesday then home to Chelsea on the saturday :-)
  19. He's probably just referring to himself.
  20. We will probably only be sending the reserves down for this won't we, none of the first teamers will go so i can see the line up being something like : Reina Finnan Carra Agger Riise Pennant Gerrard Alonso Kewell Crouch Kuyt ...that is if the transfer thread is to be believed
  21. How could you have seen Roger Daltrey when The Who played in Sheffield on wednesday night?????
  22. He scored 2 goals in a Champions League final to possibly make himself a legend then he completely ruins that by rolling around like a frickin baby after getting touched by the ball. Then the most blatant and typically Inzaghi type time wasting i have ever seen - deliberately standing 20 yards offside and shouting for the ball. What a twonker
  23. I'd go for a sniffer, either Rush, Owen or Old Skool Fowler.
  24. Surely thats not real?????
  25. Unfortunately thats the problem with cheapo flights. This is unrelated to the game but yesterday becaus of the italian air strikes Ryan Air sent its customers text messages saying 'Your flight has been cancelled please visit our website to book another one'. Some people were stuck at provincial airports where the next flight back to the uk is in a weeks time!!!
