Momo's performance is the least of my worries after tonight. I've seen him play similar to that in the past but I haven't often seen us playing a center forward on the wing, a winger on the bench, a center half up front and no shape in midfield.
If Tainio and Huddlestone play on Sunday we are laughing. How can a team looking to break into the top 4 give a game to these two?? Hopefully Zakora plays against us aswell as hes been awful this season.
Mascherano is quality and is one of the main reasons we are yet to concede from open play, however ES has a point as he doesn't add anything to our attacking play and his passing is wayward at times. We've 4 very good midfield players and its only a matter of time before we find the right combination. PS- Shame that this has turned into a Gerrard thread
I reckon hes off to Portsmouth. I am a big fan of his but when I read that piece in the times a few weeks ago where he said he wanted to back to Southampton in October 2005 because he hadn't scored I really began to question his ambition and confidence. He's replaceable in the squad so it wont be a major loss. Ashton would be my choice too.
