There hadn't been a word said for a long time about Gerrards captaincy skills up until yesterday. We should just count our lucky stars that we have the guy in the same way Arsenal should be grateful they had Henry and Chelsea have Terry.

Theres a very good chance that Ryan Giggs is going to captain Man Utd to the title this season. He doesn't exactly have the attributes you speak of and is nowhere near as inspirational as Gerrard. Gerrard is the best man to captain our team.

Gerrard is a fine captain. Model professional and inspirational. Those attributes are good enough for me.
