Someone will pay more and why not if they rate him. Yes, he should be cheaper because he's nearly out of contract but equally he would probably be fetching 80-90 if he had two years left, especially when you look at his relative value compared to the fees for Rice and Havertz. 65M is a good deal and 90M total for Mount and Mac Allister is as good as this summer gets.

Doubt it. At 34, a season where he combines club and country again will wreck his form and/or injure him.

Henderson should have swerved playing Malta and N Macedonia, realistically he isn’t going to be in the Euros anyway. Better if he rested up and then started pre season on time and give himself the best chance to start next season on form but instead he’ll be off the pace from the get go. We seem to be sleep walking into the new season like everything is ok.

You're second string, which would be used a lot, consists of two players who are varying levels of past it, and one who doesn't exist yet. This would be a truly miserable outcome.

I reckon it’s a distinct possibility. The attraction will be the premier league, Haaland and Man City. The new Barca/Real Ronaldo/Messi.

Klopp has created a 5 year spell that has conceivable added 2B to the value of the club, so you’d think FSG would give him everything he asks for.

It will run all summer then. No way they pay over 60M for him with a year left but Chelsea need the money. Probably similar to our Oxlade signing, which felt a bit toppy at the time with his record.

Mount would have been a very good signing and, with one year left, also have been good value.

Salah will be desperate to play, rightly or wrongly. He will want to score as many goals as he can and a couple of double hat tricks home and away to shamrock rovers will set him up for the golden boot.

I can't think we rejected him it is all about affordability and the players choice. Haalands transfer fee was even cheaper and he's twice the player, but look at his alleged wages.

I think he would have wanted to play for Liverpool more too, until someone offers to pay them double what we offer. A year out of the CL probably didn’t help.
