    Yep. Firmino’s form will see teams confidence drop and that will be a shame as they are playing ok - just can’t keep missing chances and getting away with it. Lose this game and we are done.

    Wow - what insight. I can’t imagine they are bothered otherwise they wouldn’t have scrimped so much. Almost laughable to think they saved spending 20/30m on some defensive assets, that they could have sold later, and now probably realise they could see 100m’s more wiped of the club value.

    Referring to not looking like scoring - we cant rely on teams making mistakes as our only option.

    Yeah, a run needs to start now but we just don’t score. We have been selecting the best players available but it hasn’t worked so I I think we need to go with a system and play best players available for each position now.

    Bloody hell. We are only 3 points of 4th so a decent run will do it with the top players returning, Jota, Fabinho and Keita, it’s doable. We have much more chance of 4th than winning the CL, for that we’d need VDV back. we’ll win our next three than we have Chelsea, an early 4th place play off. Which we’ll win.

    And hope for a miracle but be dismayed when you discover the ast manager did even worse!

    Significantly weakening our midfield, week after week, has been proven now to be a big mistake. The result is that everyone, all over the pitch, ended up weaker and all look a shell of their former selves. Jurgen has to change the front 3 next game - that formula is done.

    Got to leave Bobby out of this role. It’s madness that a chance falls to him.

    No. Put it down to this season and give every decent player a clean slate next year.

    In the cold light of day it matters less. Was it a pen or a free kick? Did the leicest player touch it? Was he interfering if not? Was it offside? The bigger error was the foul on mane and the lack of fuss made about that afterwards and the level of acceptance from the players which could set in. Yesterday was unlucky and on the 1st and 2nd and we will see a reaction from the team now, they won’t let 4th slip or go out to Leipzig

    He likely thought he had cracked it when adding Thiago and Jota, not end up like this. So, hopefully he’ll see it as the kind of challenge he can get really excited about. He needs to invent a slightly different team and way of playing. He has the nucleus of a great team and some characters that either need rebuilding or removing. He’ll love it.
