    The midfield needs a new face but it’s fine for next season. Priority bar none is the player through the middle. None of our chaps are strikers, maybe Jota but he isn’t World Class.

    When Mbappe goes to Real Madrid not if. He’s just a year down the road from Salah. The only reason it seems there a chance these players stay at their current clubs is PR. The money they get from a free will be incredible.

    Yes, I don’t think other clubs are quite so precious about wage structure, plus not many have of them have other genuine world class players like VVD and Alisson to consider. The only way Madrid can pay 700k would to Mbappe is if the total outlay of 200M or so doesn’t include a fee. For Salah, no fee needed brings Barcelona into the picture, at probably the suggested 500kpw for 4-5 years. That’s want he wants imo, the rest is just the usual dance.

    Or, he can run his contract down and then the number of clubs who can offer him that market rate increases. This isn’t a new thing and talk will soon turn to the players right to see out a contract.
