A big injury is always a slight risk, so I can’t see him putting his all into every game until he has that signing on fee signed and sealed. That’s not casting aspersions on his character either, just common sense.

His passing and vision are not going to wane, his fitness will stay with him a lot longer than the average player. Time will tell but I think he will contribute for a while yet, albeit in a more central, advanced role.

Yep. The time to sort this has passed and the club bottled calling these players out on their intentions. Probably worried about the optics. Now they look like prize chumps again and the money to replace these 3 will be laughable. Should have had at least 100m contributed toward it. He’s done the hard part, getting into the final year of his contract. He isn’t going to sign a new one now. A fortune and Real Madrid await.
