Is there a case to be made for resting Suarez as we did at the away game this season? Its a big call but after Sunday and then his trip to Romania, he may be needing a rest (not that he hasn't had plenty). If he and Bellamy comes in with 20/30 to go, they could find the spaces and push for the win after Carroll has unsettled them. If he was benched, I'd go with Carroll up front and Kuyt and Downing. Downing to play against Sagna and tie up his runs forward, he gives them alot going forward in stretching the play, Downing put him on back foot. Play Adam, Henderson and Spearing across the middle to restrict Arsenals possession - they are a poor team without it, so important we dominate it and retain it, nothing expected from Spearing bar win it and give it easy. Back four - GJ/kelly, much of a muchness. Skrtel and Carra, Enrique. Picks itself really if GJ is fit, if not we not losing too much.

It will soon come to a stage where every LFC player will have to admit if they ever watched Blazing Saddles and found it funny. Any found to have watched it will be automatically banned for 8 games. The fact that this ignores what Blazing Saddles is really about is irrelevant, there is racists in it and thats enough.

Just read that Parker has the grand total of 11 caps. Has he even been to a major championship? At his age. Would England/FA/Pearce not have been better served than to say that its a friendly and there will be a captain on the night according to team selection. Pearce, by saying he picked his captain 2 weeks back, has once again played to the media perception of the England captain been next in line for a knighthood.
-
Don't tell Pearce that, he probably thinks if he gets a result tomorrow night the job is his.
-
Figures crossed its cause he not starting. Actually, hopefully he isn't getting the role and will jack it in after the Euros. He/We can well do without the baggage that England captain seems to bring. Maybe Pearce rang Harry to ask who should be captain and after he refused to announce Jamie as captain, he settled for Parker.

Can't wait till Sunday, travelling over by myself (from Ireland) and not meeting anyone but strangely looking forward to it. Landing in London early, so should be in and round city at 9ish and will then just head off and see where the day takes me. Billy-no-mates on tour

From reading the article is it a case that he says he doesn't need to sell them but that the money would comfort him knowing that he can leave his family a few quid. Saying that, be nice if the club or the current players can get the collection for the muesum, as Tommy says himself they've been lying in his loft or his bank for years with no-one looking at them. Hope all goes well. Its a shame it has to come to that for many of his generation. The current generation will have little interest in medals in year to come you'd imagine - well some of them anyway. You'd get the impression that some of them will be looking back through their bank statements and payslips with a tear in their eye rather that their medal collection.

As someone said and it seems to stand true, you'll always notice the photoshopped kits by looking at crests, badges, logos etc they'll always be blurred or discolouration with the background they have been set onto.

The lad that owes the store is a manc and didn't ask much from the rep. He did say the rep said it was an impressive range and was decent. They even have football boots. He said he'd quizz the rep a bit more the next time he in and if he got any brochures or the like he'd let me know.
-
Was chatting to a lad who owns a sports store, he was talking to a Rep who was at a Warrior trade show in Dublin recently, have a big range coming out. The new Liverpool kit was on view but in a separate room, under constant view of the warrior people and no phones or media devices was allowed in room. He said it was decent gear. He says they won't unveil it till very close to launch.

Its a shame that transfer windows last so long, a week or two be plenty and might force the issue. I'm sure come the closing few days we'll all be still glued in here waiting for signings to close or new targets to emerge. Too long.

FAO Irish reds Liverpool fans should get over the s*n boycott?
diggy replied to Swan Red's topic in Liverpool FC
Newstalk was decent when it started and it had interesting new presenters with plenty to say, but in the past 12/18 months they have all got very big opinions and airs of self-importance, so they like to say things that makes them stand out, the presenters on Off the Ball been prime examples - its all about them now. Plus it employed Eamon Dunphy, who left cause he didn't think the bosses were looking after its staff well enough - his Roy Keane in Saipan moment but no-one cared. Never listen to it now, Ivan Yates is a plonker who likes to think he is very relevant, he is only known cause of his failings, which sums up the majority of people with platforms over this side of the lake. Any station that suggests people should buy a rag like the S*n, Liverpool supporter or ordinary joe soap, needs to have a look at themselves. -

Is Ecclestone just back from Loan? No doubt Luis was there to give Coates a lift home or lend some encouragement.

Never mind your your ball design, I'm working on a spit roast design - the pitch never moves but the main Stands do. The kop and Anny Road stay as is but the main Stands X 4 Rotate under and over the pitch - at any one time 3 stands will be able to see the match, when its out of view they can eat., drink and do whatever. It will imeditately increase match day attendence and revenue. My initial design is for a 110,000 seater stadium but the costings are coming in at 24bn which are a problem.

If it happened 10 times as Evra suggests, I don't see why the ref or another player wasn't made aware of it on the field on Saturday or Evra didn't totally flip the lip rather than kissing his badge to the crowd. I'm sure Suarez isn't feeling great about this and hope his song gets a good loud airing on Saturday early in the game to show him some love before he bites someone

Noted the Friday training pictures show that the team trained at Anfield today. That a new move by Kenny? Massive game tomorrow, lays down a massive marker to others that the team are settling and going places if we can take the 3 points. Puts the two defeats to bed and ahead of a tough run will make all the difference. 3-1 Reds - Kuyt, Suarez, Carroll. Carra OG through a peno.
-
Week before Carroll signed for Liverpool I met in Casino in Newcastle at about 6am, both of us rat-arsed, he played blackjack at same table as me and even signed my old season ticket card (in felt tip pen that rubbed off as soon as I put it back in wallet). No idea why I got him to sign it but seemed like i was been a smart a*** at the time. Anyways, i'm sure he likes a good rink like 90% of the population and maybe he didn't have direction at the time to advise him otherwise. I'm sure now, that he is in a bigger pond now, that he'll be getting plenty of guidence and advice now from players and management. What Capello has done is totally uncalled for and only outs added pressure on Carroll, by all means have a word behind closed doors, talk to Kenny etc but to make such an issue only fuels a fire. Carroll should tell him to get lost and prove him wrong.
