  1. Might be too late to say but you are a c*nt.
  2. That was because their march was bigger and more vocal. Ours was poor compared to theirs. Give credit to SOS for actually coming up with the idea. It was a shame more people could not join in. Judging by yesterday's showing, it seems Geordies are more passionate about the state of their club than we are about ours (SOS excluded).
  3. Back at you d*ckweed.
  4. My mistake. I was actually agreeing with the last sentence i.e. we seem to play better without Gerrard.
  5. Guess you'll just have to wait until the next game.
  6. This was posted on Redcafe: "Still don't think it will change anything. Liverpool started well last season but beating us isn't there main problem it's beating the average teams. For me it's no coincidence they seem to do better without Gerrard though something in that I think." Hard to disagree with that.
  7. We are f*cked. 3-1 to Utd. Mark my words.
  8. And where did that style get us when we went a goal down. How many times under GH did we come back to win when we were a goal down? Now compare that againt Rafa's record.
  9. About another £20m and a year to bed the players in. Maurinho inherited a team that had finished 2nd the season before and went out and spent something close to £70m+ and won the League. Rafa is expected to achieve the same on a fraction of the budget. It pisses me off when people constantly trot out the same old sh*t like we had £50m of talent on the field blah blah. The fact is Rafa has spent that over a number of seasons to solidify positions that were weak. He's done that and the team as a whole looks more solid than when he took over. We are 3 games into the season, joint top and people are moaning. F*ck me. I thought Chelsea supporters were bad. You lot on here are 10 times worse. PS: Alonso cost £10m not £14m. £14m was the price offered by Juventus and we rejected it.
  10. And they were able to offer big money for the players you mention. The total cost of the three players in that season was £41m which is a luxury we currently dont have.
  11. Was it not you who said the Valencia side that Rafa brought to Anfield was one of the best visiting sides you have seen at Anfield in a long time and that their passing and movement was a joy to watch. I could be wrong but I am sure that is what you said at the time. Then again the way that side played was going against the grain of what Rafa believe's in. He didnt want them to play like that but the players ignored him.
  12. Grass is always greener on the other side. Wonder what the reaction would have been if we did that against Portsmouth.
  13. I wonder what Mancs think about the way their team is playing at the moment without Ronaldo. They were poor against Newcastle and played poorly against Portsmouth only just scraping a 1-0 win. They lost to Zenit St Petersburg after being 2nd best for most of the game where they should have lost by a bigger margin. Chelsea played ok against an abject Portsmouth side, got lucky against Wigan and struggled at home against the might Spurs. And our form worries people.
  14. I think his point was whether Rafa told the Board that he wanted to sign Keane before Barry. I dont think that was the case. It was more to do with Spurs being more responsive and pushing the deal through and Villa dragging their heels in not wanting to lose their best player. Rafa wanted both players but he only got one.
  15. The thing is in 2004 we would lost to this lot. The difference here is we won even if it was by a whisker. Has anyone forgotten FC Basle. Lest we forget we were playing the Belgian Champions today. They were no small timers. Get a grip, we were bad but not awful.
  16. Its funny, people were slagging off SOS for writing off Degen before he had kicked a ball. But it is ok to write off Reira before he has even played for us. I think its called Hypocrisy.
  17. Its probably because Alonso will be league tied which might affect his value.
  18. And the small matter that Kilbane is no Barry and vice versa.
  19. The owners are a bunch of d*ckheads. It appears that they are refusing to finance the Gareth Barry deal as they think that by the end of his proposed four year deal he will be 31 and will therefore have lower resaleable value. WTF?? Does that mean the reason they sanctioned the purchases of Mascherano, Lucas, Babel, Skrtel and Torres was because they could be sold at a profit at a later date. F*cking d****eads. The sooner they are out of the club the better. F*ck me I am pissed off.
  20. I wouldnt at all be surprised if we saw this formation: ----------------------------------------Reina----------------------------- -----------------Carra-----------------Agger------------------------Skrtel Deggen-------------------------------Masch---------------------------------Dossena -----------------------------Stevie G--------------Barry -----------------------------------------Keane -----------------------------------------Torres
  21. I wouldnt at all be surprised if we saw this formation: Reina Carra Agger Skrtel Deggen Masch Dossena Stevie G Barry Keane
  22. 2007/08 for me. Torres arrived.
  23. Or the fact that Alonso has only played one injury free season for the 3 seasons he has been at the club might have something to do with Rafa's decision. Alonso is a class player, we know it and Rafa knows it. But he is no good to us if he spends 70% of his time on the treatment table. Just a guess.
  24. Agreed. And we are also a club that should not f*ck our manager around for the best part of season and set ultimatums such as 'qualify for the next round or you are sacked'. And as a club we should BACK our managers in the transfer market. Just a thought.
