I think Harry can play in the second striker role well enough. Apparantly Speedy can too (havent seen him myself). Personally think these two can form a devastating partnership, both together and relieving each other (in a non gay way!).
Sorry, dont have any. Description is a short, not a crop, but matted down with gel, probably hiding its true identity. Sorry got to go now, sick of talking about it and not happy having started a thread in competition for "gayest thread ever".
That's it, spot on Doesnt surprise me he cut it though, recent interview in Oz (obviously done before the FAcup final) he said he is not superstitious but if something is working he sticks with it. To me i took it as a reference to the hair considering he had a good season. After the FA cup final i expect he cut it himself. Poor b*****d.
For those who care i can report Harry Kewell has just appeared on Oz TV and yes....... he's finally had a hair cut . PS his aussie/scouse accent is a shocker
As an Aussie can i say. If tickets are available i will buy one, and pay to travel there eg a f***en long way, at a large cost! Bring on the new stadium, it is inevitable and those that think differently can suck my nuts1. It is imperitive to our future success.
I think we will play a lot of 3-5-2 next year. Chelsea will too IMO. We will do it better and SG will be the reason. 19 PS and 19 titles to prove it!!!
True but not what he said himself last week. Thats got to mean more than this speculation IMO. PS. FYDS, Sorry, mate. Us Aussies are a bit slow on the uptake to whats acceptable football speak
Neither of whom offer the same quality as Harry, or as versatile. Gonzalez is quality without doubt but unproven in the EPL and needs bedding in. The possibilities with Harry and Speedy are superb. I also expect Speedy's arrival to help Harry improve his output due to less game time. I may be missing something but this smacks of a "page filler". Is there any credence to the rumour? Not saying it is never going to happen but it would be a surprise to say the least.
Surely Rafa wont risk going without Harry while Gonzalez is being bedded in. what if he does his knee again? I would be amazed if this went through and considering the story is not confirmed i put this down to another page filler eg 2+2= 45!! PS WaltonRed, your thoughts on Harry are well known here even if you have gone quiet for the last 8 months, wonder why?
I was just on my way home thinking I might start a thread on Rafa. "Benitez the Brave" I was going to call it but seeing as you have started one Gravy i salute you. I couldnt have said it better, he is a master coach of players and men. Stevie is the perfect example, last year Rafa had troubles but once he committed this year he has improved on the field as he himself predicted but his improvement of it has been even more impressive and that i put down to Rafa. Why Brave? 3-5-2 at half time in CL final. Placing faith in Harry. Buying Crouch. Buying Robbie! He is so astute he knows what he wants and does it with so much faith in his own judgement and belief. Most of all he understands what Liverpool FC is about and is doing his best to make sure those things are upheld for a new generation. He isnt Shankly, Paisley or Dalglish. He is Rafa and he is just what we needed. Bring on next season, i cant wait.
We have broken defensive records this year. We are currently on a club record 11 straight winning streak . Might aswell extend that at Cardiff, FA Cup. HARRY KEWELL!!!!!! Sorry got distracted there, GO REDS!!!!! YNWA 96!! LIVERPOOL 18-5-6(7?)
Is right. Hence why Harry starts ahead of him almost everytime they are both fit. As far as i am aware Luis played LM at Tenerife for Rafa. Harry is clearly preferred to Luis in that position and he isnt at his best yet.
One thing we improved on this year but needs to improve further is winning more games in the first half, by that i mean being 3 up early and being able to rest players more. This will help all competitions we are competing in.
I really like the Pennant situation. He will be cheap and plays in a position we need to strengthen. He has a lot of talent but has history, which i believe he can curtail with age and maturity. Considering our strength in MF we need a classy RW who knows he will not play every game because XA and MS will play so often meaning SG on the right. To me getting Pennant fills a position easily and allows a lot of money to be spent on the WC striker we need. It makes sense! PS SWP is a pipe dream IMO
Dont know if this is legit, in fact i have my doubts. However he would love a move to us, cheap and he is a talent. If Rafa has to fit Momo, Xabi & Stevie in midfield he needs a player who will not expect to start every game. I've been thinking about that and Pennant fits that bill very well. Also allows us to concentrate on the striker position. Would not surprise me at all and from what i have seen if he gets the Rafa treatment he will be a bargain.
