Saturday September 2, 1978. Liverpool 7 Tottenham Hotspur 0. Last goal. Ball comes out of our area, Dalglish collects possession just ourside the 'D' and lays the ball out to the right for David Johnson. Johnson hits a long crossfield ball into the path of the Steve Heighway who is bombing down the left wing. Heighway sends over a pinpoint cross to the far post where Terry McDermott arrives, having run the length of the field, to head into the top right corner beyond Daines. The why? Because that flowing move summed up for me what football should be like.
