Start scoring goals then and maybe you'll get some confidence. Honestly this guy looks like one of those kids I used to beat up at the playground. And whenever that kid saw me coming he would run away. Stewart looks like that kid that's too afraid to stand up , too afraid to fight back. You've got that ability Stewart, start using it and start scoring some goals. Maybe Kenny needs to bring in someone like Tony Robbins to give him some coaching on confidence. It's not a joke...I'm serious. There's a really good player in there somewhere but we may never see him.

We need to bring in another top class centreback to partner Skrtel. Agger is injured again and although I think Carra will fill in just fine we have to look at the long term.

Yeah I agree he had a good game yesterday but only because most of the other guys were really nervous and played below par. If Stewart Downing pushes on from here and has a better game against Arsenal and either assist or scores, I promise I will give him credit but I won't be surprised if we see the old Stewart Downing again.

I think also you gotta blame some of our most talented individuals in the first team. For example we all know Johnson has great pace rite, so why doesn't he take on and beat his man more often like Dani Alves at Barca. They are practically the same player with similar qualities when you think about it. Both have skill and pace and a little bit average defensively. It's a shame that some of our better footballers lack that mental fortitude it takes to push us up that extra level.

Yes. He and Lucas have been our best players this season. He will score again this season. I think he'll score 2 more goals. I think we have seen a transformation in this player this season. Last season he was under par and got deserved criticism but he has become a real leader at the back this season. If we get Vertoghnen to partner him next season, we might be even stronger in central defence.

I don't know what the big deal is with everyone saying what a great performance it was from Downing. He played just a fraction better than he usually does. He still regularly fails to beat the first man with his cross. Didn't do enough for me...still under performing in his first season. Most of our players played well below par except for Skrtel. For the record Cardiff had the better clear cut chances and Miller should have won them the cup in the last few minutes of regular time but you need luck in cup finals and we seem to nearly always have them in finals.

Henderson has had a terrible first season. Kenny's not stupid. He bought him for a purpose but I still can't figure out what his role is in the team. He is not a right sided midfielder and his best position is in the center I believe. But playing Gerrard-Adam and Henderson in the centre together is just asking for trouble. Who is gonna do the donkey work, holding role against an Arsenal side that put 5 past Spurs ?

I honestly don't care if we get 4th place but will be very happy if the owners supply the funds for the 3 players we really lack to have a real go at the Champions League places next season. We need a a proven goalscorer, a pacy and effective right winger and a very effective playmaker c** schemer/ someone with an eye for a pass and goal operating between midfield and attack. If we have the money my choices would be Edinson Cavani, Luciano Narsingh and Marek Hamsik to be those 3 players. We also do need a defensive midfielder/holding midfielder as cover and competition to Lucas. Jay is not and will never be good enough. Spot on. It's no coincidence why we've only scored 29 league goals and have drawn so many games at home. That first 11 put out yesterday especially the front 6 are no match for the more attack oriented front 6 pairings at City, United, Spurs , Arsenal and Chelsea.

He 's our main man right now, there's no doubt about it. If Suarez plays well until the end of the season and adds another 10 or so goals for himself and creates another 10++ scoring chances for the other football players who are on the same wavelength as him (Gerrard, Bellamy, Johnson) we can make 4th.

My God, are some of you serious about including Henderson in the first 11 ahead of Adam ? At least Adam has a footballers brain and a decent left foot and worth the money spent on him. What on earth has Henderson done is his 20 or so starts this season in the league ? He has been not much more than a passenger in most of his starts for us. He's had a couple of good game early on against Sunderland and Bolton (at home) but in most other games he has been non existent and non productive. I question his role in the first 11 ? What type of midfield role is he supposed to be doing ?

Agreed. What exactly did Henderson do for 45 minutes ? And does Downing know how to cross a ball to a red shirt ? Every time we play these 2 together in the same 11 we are effectively carrying 2 passengers. Gerrard, Adam, Suarez, Johnson, Bellamy and Maxi are the only footballers we have with brains.

He's 27 years old, he's got experience and all the talent. He's basically playing against the same opponents he was playing for Villa last season where he was voted player of the season. Some players just don't have it in them to take that next step when they move to a bigger club. Downing is in that category. Kenny shouldn't be giving him more chances ahead of Maxi. Kenny probably thinks he'll come good eventually but he won't. He's good enough for a Villa or Stoke or most other mid table teams but not for a team like us.

He needs to get out of Anfield and out of Liverpool. Somebody needs to shoot him into outer space so we won't see this over rated piece of thrash ever again.

Just seen Brum give Chelsea a good game and saw Milan tear Arsenal apart a few days ago. Both these clubs are in shambles. If we get some form and momentum going in the league, we can easily take 4th. But it will depend a lot on Suarez and Carroll playing together from now till the end of the season and scoring lots of goals. Hopefully our 30 year olds Stevie G and Bellamy can provide the ammunition because the others are completely useless.

Henderson won't make it here. He's not good enough. Henderson vs Jones. Almost the same money spent and look at what a fantastic talent Jones is for United.

Sell our best player and we're taking 2 steps back. Sell him only if he wants to leave and for not less than 50m. Whoever the manager is whether its Kenny or the guy who still has unfinished business at LFC needs to surround Suarez with better quality players than Downing or Henderson or Spearing or even Adam. For the record I think Adam is a good signing for the money we spent on him but he shouldn't be in the first 11 for a team that supposedly wants to finish in the top 4 or challenge for the title.

This monkey is one of the dumbest most useless players to ever wear the red shirt in my book. Hope he never starts a game again for us. Unfortunately we can't sell him anytime soon and I doubt we'll sell him in the summer.

Marek Hamsik is his name. I think Staurt Holden (currently injured), the Bolton player who is a classic holding midfielder would do a great job for us.

Still only 17. If he's good enough, I think whoever the manager is next season might give him his debut in the 2nd half of next season.

Johnson right wing in a 4-4-2 would be interesting with Kelly at right back but we don't play 4-4-2 which I find strange. A 4-42 format means Suarez is a lot closer to Carroll upfront and we can finally see what those 2 can do together. I think they could be a winning combination if they play closer together. Spearing and Gerrard or Gerard (holding) and Adam in the centre and Johnson and Bellamy out wide. We've never tried this combination before...it might actually be our best formation. But everyone seems to want to play 4 3 3 nowadays. Strange that. With that being being said I think Johnson gets unfair stick sometimes. Him, Skittles and Enrique are having a fine season I think. The problem is the 6 that are picked in front our defence.
