He was unlucky there alright and considering his earlier playing career its something we should see more of. Mos def. CM's dont know what to do when a defender runs at them. Do they leave their man, do they immediately go to the ball, that moments indecision can be vital in breaking down the more stubborn defences such as the one we will face on Saturday.

Its not just from set pieces that Agger can cause problems. I love to see him running at the CM but I bet Carra doesnt.

For the first time in quite a while I was very confident he would score, even though it was five minutes into injury time.

We didnt buy him as cover for when Torres is out but more to play alongside him. Its pretty obvious that RK is not a man to lead the line, even N'gog looked more dangerous when he came on.

There is no agrument about his current form, but its worth acknowledging that he is not playing in a preferred position. His best will come when he is playing behind Torres, hopefully starting this weekend. With regard to last night we really did get out of jail. Two decent pen shouts for Athletico and same for us. I thought Arbeloa had one of his worst games in red last night, consistently gave the ball away.

Absolutely. This week is all about how we as a club and as supporters react to what happened yesterday. It was going to happen at some stage so we need to regroup and roll on with qualifying for the knock out stages of the CL on Tuesday and taking three points from the baggies on saturday.
